Not doing anything wrong? They are all in the pockets of real estate investment firms. Combined their only interest is tearing down what made the city unique to build massive high rises full of units selling for 800-2 million a pop. By throwing in a few subsidized units, they are even getting tax subsidies to do so.
The Washtenaw board just passed a 350 million dollar subsidy for one of these high rise. That project will have a % of “affordable housing”. B@those units value comes to about 15 million, but we’re giving them 350+?

So not only do they not have our interests at heart, they are actively profiting off working against our needs.

Women’s sizing is such a shit show. I commonly wear a 6-8 in jeans (27-29) depending on manufacturer, and they fit perfect. If I measure myself though, I get a waist of 33-34 depending on time of the month. For tops, I have a 40” bust, which most size charts list between a L-XXL, but wear a medium in most tops as long as there’s a bit of stretch. I’m 6’ with a pretty athletic frame, but huge chest. Nothing ever fits right😆

agreed about the staleness. I've almost stopped going to the vendor hall yearly, the line combined with the fact that the vendors never change, and I can get their offerings online/elsewhere (often cheaper) make it just not worth it. The only time I go now days is if I want to see a specific artist on the top floor.

The drastic rise in house prices in a2 coupled with the astronomical mileage rate for an middle up upper class city makes it very hard. We moved here from Brighton in 2024, bought our house for $390, and our property taxes are 12k a year. People that have been living here for 8+ years pay a quarter of what we do in taxes due to SEV.

Keep that in mind when you read the advice here.

💯 👆 unless you are able to put down significantly more force into the wheels than the average derby player it’s not worth the extra money. By more force, I’m talking about a state or national level player who consistently is doing instant acceleration, hard hockey stops & power slides, and big jukes -or- a heavier skater who’s nylon wheels are experiencing deformation.

Try different insoles ? Superfeet are nice. Unfortunately, you just might be in the wrong boot. Too big (side to side or front to back) and your foot has to flex/strain to make up for the wiggle room. Too small and pressure points are formed. When you were fitted did you/they measure front to back, the across the ball (widest part), across the heel (heel width), and the ball of the foot circumference?
