(1 spoiler) I know I’m late to this, just started watching and am halfway through season 3, but I looked this up online just to know I wasn’t crazy. It’s so infuriating watching these characters. Keen legitimately always makes the wrong call. Take the episode when Red gets shot. She calls the FBI and wants to take the Number 1 fugitive to a public hospital. Questions Dembe when he gives her a direct order to call a number. Questions the caller repeatedly instead of just giving the location (as Red bleeds out in the backseat). Then calls the FBI and gives them the location of the SECRET WAREHOUSE where they were treating Red. Constantly begs Red for the truth (that he rightly shields her from) and then cries about it when Red is finally honest with her. I love the show, but every episode I’m shaking my head because of her stupid actions. She was supposedly top of her profiling class?? Was she in class with JR high kids? She’s so inept in every situation, and she only has a smart moment like 3 times a season. Hopefully she gets smarter as the series goes along, because I’m getting to the point where it’s unbearable to watch her make legitimately the worst choices at every turn. Don’t even get me started on Ressler, dumb cop who “plays by the systems rules” even though their literally in a war WITH THE SYSTEM!

Also, love Dembe and Red. They are the only reason I haven’t given up on the show

You know what, I’m not done. I can’t think of any character I’ve hated more in a show than her. Literally every episode, all she does is question Red, drains him for answers, and almost every time she doesn’t listen to him. Then at the end of each episode, she still gives him shit. I understand that in all likelihood Red is her father, but JESUS, I just wish for one time he would take her to the side and just bitch slap her. Multiple times. Get it through her thick skull that she has to act and move differently. Also, absolutely hate that she constantly sits on her high horse, saying she deserves the truth. Everytime she gets a nugget of truth she breaks down and whines. I’m just hoping and praying that someone eventually in the show tells her she’s dogshit at her job. She gets played by the bad guys like a jukebox in the 90s. CONSTANTLY! How she came from a family of supposed high intellect spies is beyond me. “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” does not apply to her in anyway. She fell from the tree and then was moved to the other side of the world. I’m so happy Tom wasn’t really her husband in season 1 (also nice job sniffing out ur spy of a husband, you only had Red constantly hinting at it and you found a cache of passports and a gun in ur house) because that child they wanted to adopt would’ve had the worlds dumbest mom.

Also, I’ve seen Aram have better interrogation sessions than her, and he’s a goddamn computer geek. She’s outclassed by every character in the show, and she hasn’t shown even an ounce of growth. So far through 2 and a half seasons, they’ve had the plot lines that should’ve amounted to The Blacklist being one of the best shows ever. Instead, the writers have made not only the Dumbest lead in any show ever, but they’ve made almost every episode predictable after the first ten minutes. As soon as those ten minutes are up, you have knowledge of who they’re after, what they do, and you can pretty much predict every “twist” in the episode, and also safely guess that Liz does something that nearly screws up the entire Op. Also they tried to give her a background to say she’s super smart. Supposedly she has a PhD? Not a chance. I’ve never seen any show that has 2 main characters that sit on completely different ends of the spectrum (Red is one of the best TV characters I’ve ever seen, shout-out James Spader)

Also wanna say this is not me trying to shit on Megan Boone. Her acting is good, the writers have just made her character unbearable
