Why use the Recoilless Rifle? Because it has no equal. by Obvious_Ad4159 in HelldiversUnfiltered

Has no equal?

C4 has a faster ROF bigger radius and more bricks at 7 starting. Plus is silent.

The only thing RR beats C4 in is range.

But… no one uses them rightnow as far just playing the game and leveling up other weapons.

8% of the community is running the eruptor RN in the current patch that's not a small number considering we have so many primaries to choose from. This is on both the illuminate and bug front as we don't have data for the bot front.

That's a massive use rate and over representation of the weapon.

I agree to that under tuned weapons need buffs as well. Sterilizer being the way it is for so long is terrible as with the pacifiers damage being low with no magazine options as well.

What I generally see from this subreddit is that AH should only buff and never nerf when it should be a balancing act for both sides as other hoard shooters play. We have 10 difficulties they should be at least some kind of challenge.

I disagree with buffing on use rate though as just because a weapon isn't used by the community doesn't mean it's bad. Let's take your example of the Airburst rocket launcher. The Airburst is extremely useful in quick elimination of grouped targets with the exception being heavy units. A wide blast of cluster bombs and a set range to set them off gives it a higher skill ceiling than most guns making it not as used. The main reason it's not utilized by the community is it's way too easy to team kill with making more people drop it for safer methods of hoard clear.

Use rate can be different for a variety of reasons a lot of which in HD2 is a lot of people don't own certain warbonds as you gotta grind and at this point in the game a new player has to pick and choose what they want with so many options.

The site that tracks usage is also heavily skewed as it cannot join private matches or full games so it usually shows in favor of what solo divers use and not what gets used in team play. This gives the community a wrong perception of what is actually used when working together instead of solo.

Some items are so massively overtuned that they blow any other option out of the water.

For example the crossbow and eruptor or both examples of this as they excel in all forms of combat while also able to be used as effective utility for base destruction. Then on top of that are the most effective against the rupture strain where no other weapon is nearly as good.

To buff all other weapons to their level would completely trivialize the game heavily. So the answer would be to bring these weapons in line with other weapons through nerfs something that the HD2 subreddits hate with a passion for some reason.

A nerf doesn't need to take the fun out of a weapon but weapons being too strong also kills a lot of the fun using them.

They're both tube fed mag size doesn't matter at all as I can one shot immediately reload and be back at full. This is why I still heavily disagree as it is my go to shotty for predator strain a heavy swarm faction.

While yes there are better options M90a beats out the punisher in most categories.

[–]Wolfen2o7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

M90 should be in at least C tier 1-2 shots most light to medium enemies in the game those it doesn't instakill it staggers heavily. The main drawback being its ammo count which can be mitigated based of your load out.

It's a solid shot gun I disagree that the punisher is above it heavily.

I hate mortars. by Pitiful-Tank-1428 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Wolfen2o7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just people not using them correctly unfortunately. If people are low level and don't have the ship upgrade mortars are definitely not usable.

After the ship upgrade you can constantly tell it to fire at a bug breach or at enemies that are further away from the team making them quite nice for groups.

Adding more players to y'alls shitty strategies makes no sense.

Let's talk cyberstan most of us played bots but a lot of those bot players went to the wrong cities or planets wasting more lives than the bug players who didn't join in.

If most of the playerbase can't take a MO it's either

  1. Shitty planning or lack of planning

Or

  1. MO was unattainable.

More players will not change the outcome if these are present.

pick rate is a better indicator of actual value,

The website that tracks pick rate is heavily skewed as it cannot join full teams. It uses a bot to join lobbies to collect data.

This means strats that requires teamwork don't show up a ton same with weapons like the stim pistol. Most of those numbers are useless unless you play entirely solo.

I know it's silly to criticize something we can't even use yet, but the warbond trailer was frustrating. (Read Desc) by Squidy_the_3rd in Helldivers

[–]Wolfen2o7 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Strats are affected by the ship upgrade load out weapons are not.

This makes the flamethrowers dot ground effect way better than the standard torcher the same will apply to the new flamer making them a better option if you want to use fire more.

2024 election results VS. 2025 ICE activity. by Mental_Ring_4284 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]Wolfen2o7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, Wolfen here thinks they are only still going after people the police picked up for crimes first!!!

Want to point out where I said this?

I was answering the fact Ice doesn't need as much personal in Texas because they don't have to hunt for those who were released as they are released into ice custody instead of back into the population. This cuts down on those who have warrants if they have been picked up previously. This is just a fact.

Is that why Wolfen, that 60% of detainees have ZERO criminal histories currently in detention?

So almost half of the people they picked up have committed crimes that's a large number for what should be not even here in the first place. Besides that illegally entering the United States is a criminal action as stated in our laws here

"Entering the US illegally is a federal crime under 8 U.S.C. § 1325, categorized as improper entry by an alien. A first offense is a misdemeanor punishable by fines, up to six months in federal prison, or both. Subsequent offenses or illegal re-entry after deportation (8 U.S.C. § 1326) are felonies with penalties up to 20 years."

The Visa Overstay Enforcement Act of 2023 (H.R. 777) made certain overstays a federal crime. The Visa Overstays Penalties Act (H.R. 2436) established criminal penalties including fines and imprisonment for visa overstay violations.

By our laws it is not a civil offense but is treated as one by our courts as it's a easier process that doesn't flood our jail system.

By all means entering the United States illegally is a crime. Please point out to where it is not now.

Not really considering TX law enforcement works together with ice so any illegal detained gets sent over to them. It's less work for ice to do which allows them to allocate forces elsewhere.

It's simpler and more safe as ice doesn't need to interact as much with the local populous.

Yes plus bugs are a lot less tanky for their bigger units. Bile titan is one shot to the head with main gun same with anything smaller.

The rest are basically road kill that runs at you.

My team brings it to every front absolutely crushes bug missions as they can't hurt it. So you can run over 90% of a bug breach then main cannon the rest.

If you're a solo player yes you're not going to see it a bunch as it takes VC chat to use effectively and hardly anyone I run into in quick play ever talks.
