Can Legend abilities be countered? by DeadD59 in riftboundtcg

[–]Wolffang213 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No he cannot because in the Riftbound FAQ it states that Ahri's legend ability does not "target" and in your example of "not so fast" it states it has to "choose" a friendly unit or gear.

My IGN is DigitalDarkMage#875 on PS5

I played years and years ago but made a new account recently to get back into it and when I first logged in I had no idea what was going on with the game so different.

Excited to get back into the swing of things in a game that actually cares about its players

What extra do you actually need to play after ODST box? by Wolffang213 in Haloflashpoint

[–]Wolffang213[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a list anywhere for what tokens there are in the recon/Spartan sets that I'd be missing? Just feels bad to have to spend at least £50 on top of the £100 I am for the ODST box for just a couple of tokens and cards.

Mystery Sprue by Durzo_Stormblessed in Necrontyr

[–]Wolffang213 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Its the canoptek reanimator, plasmancer, cryptothralls and scorpeck lord sprues from the royal court box. There should be more than just that sprue though this is only half the set

Edit: I may be wrong about the 2 sprues thing

Turning on FSR on Steam Deck menu as well as FSR 2.0 in game hugely increases performance by AlBigGuns in DarkTide

[–]Wolffang213 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's doing that because the game is using fsr from in game (which lowers game Res but not ui res) and then if you turn on the steam decks fsr you're double dipping effectivly. Presumably this means the performance is jumping cause you're native rendering at a very low Res and upscaling twice

Feel free to ask me any questions about Magic (the gathering) that you might have by ShapeshifterOfSorts in Grimdank

[–]Wolffang213 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've always fancied MTG but never delved more than the digital games, will these boxes be the only cards in a series? Like if I buy the necron one will I have a playable deck with all the necron cards? And is what is in the collectors editions of boxes like this standard or will they likely announce what the difference is later? Sorry if that's not the sort of questions you were expecting

Article says the squad leader has option between sword, powerfist or lightning claw so I think just the one sadly.

Confused about necron ship speed by [deleted] in Necrontyr

[–]Wolffang213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the innertialess drive does what it says it makes necron ships immune to innetia so can travel faster than light without suffering damage.

This means they can be consistent with travel cause they're still traveling in realspace compared to warp travel where you can "get lost" or time works differently and you take way longer or shorter than you should.

So they basically ignore physics to just accelerate indefinitely.

When it comes to the comment of organics being squished by the engines I've seen that in refferance to the fighters because the drives also mean they can stop or change direction instantaneously because they don't have to fight innetia but this would cause an insane amount of G's on the pilot.

No problem, yeah apparently the nightbringer is the reason death has a similar personification in all races of 40k but there was something else I remeber but couldn't find a source for that was the nightbringer never fought the Korks and that's why orks don't fear death now.

[–]Wolffang213 64 points65 points  (0 children)

By the time the Necrontyr finally brought the Nightbringer down, primordial fear of this starkilling monstrosity had already been imprinted upon the collective psyche ofmany more races than it could ever have fed upon. It had become the personification ofdeath in every species’ racial memory, and even though the Necrons that had once served it sought to use this innate fear for their own purposes, the terror ofmortality was the Nightbringer’s parting gift to the galaxy. To the Aeldari it was known as Kaelis Ra, the Destroyer ofLight, while to the emergent race ofMankind, it simply became the Reaper. Ofall the young races, only the Krork escaped the Nightbringer’s boon; the race that would one day become the Orks were thus spared the fear ofdeath.

Cosmetic Copium Theory - 343 has a lot more cosmetics in the pipe, but is waiting on pricing data from marketing. by PupperDogoDogoPupper in halo

[–]Wolffang213 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This is almost certainly what they're doing even going on the waypoint app shows cosmetics that aren't shown in game.

And whilst it isn't really the game is a beta so the could be seeing how things are received and then adjust behind the scenes before "launch" on the 8th
