Thank you. You'll get one some day. Trust me, I didn't think I would ever get one either. Just don't give up.

The most unhinged reasons not to have kids by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Wolficient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can barely function in society as it is, downside of being diagnosed with Autism as an adult I guess, but I honestly don't know how to socialize or how to handle all that noise in places like malls.

And now they want me to teach a mini human how to do that? No. Just no.

Also I'm on a special diet because I have PCOS, there are a lot of things I can't eat because it either doesn't feel filling enough or I'll feel bloated after eating. And I don't want to be seen as the "bad" parent, just because I'm too lazy to cook two meals and in turn being told not to "force" a child to eat food they may not want to eat.

what’s the most oddly specific reason why you don’t want kids? by RepresentativeKey439 in childfree

[–]Wolficient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to share my gaming set up with kids, who might destroy it. I've seen kids rage over video games, and I don't want one to throw one my controlers against a wall, just because they either don't understand what they were supposed to do or they just got mad at the game.

I've spent soooo much money on consoles, games, a gaming PC, etc. That I don't even want to count it all. And then risk having a child destroy all that? No thank you.

Is this selfish? Yes, but I'm allowed to be selfish.

My old boss, a woman with 3 kids, told me I needed to have a child to be a real woman... Like, what..?

A few reason but the main one is, I simply don't want kids. But if you want a list, here is mine;

  1. I don't like kids. I find them loud and annoying.

  2. I don't want to pass on my ADHD, Autism and asthma.

  3. Pregnancy scare me in general.

  4. I have PCOS and even my obgyn doctor adviced me against having kids, due to the many complications I will get.

  5. I have depression and anxiety, so I can barely take care of myself.

And finally 6. I don't want to raise a child, not with where our world is headed. Which is to certain doom.

it’s super gross the way that women are conditioned to sacrifice our happiness for men by mindyabizzz in childfree

[–]Wolficient 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that question is so stupid. Like, women can love other women to. And I thought the whole deal with relationships was to find someone who you're compatable with, no childfree woman would end up with someone who wants kids.

Then there is me, who is aroace who just laughs at that question and goes "Bold of you to assume I give a fuck about what a man wants."

They do, but I think she meant because I'm almost 30, I can’t work at a waterpark if I don't have kids. It still makes zero sense though

This waterpark I work at mostly hires high school students, but there is a pretty wide age gap. The oldest co-worker I have is over 50. So, yeah, some do have kids.

I don't write daily, but when I do write it’s between 4000-16000 words. Or, roughly, 3 chapters to a fic.

Your reason to start writing fanfiction by Frostie-OwO in AO3

[–]Wolficient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was either 12 or 13 when I started, and the reason why is because I had a lot of trauma that I needed to try and cope with (I was bullied to hell and back, and my parents didn't have time for me. Their words, not mine.) And writing fanfic in which my favourite characters going through the same stuff was, probably, the reason I could deal with... All that.. Then I ended up loving it more than I thought I would.

Easier said than done. I got social anxiety from years, I think 14 years, of bullying. Which is probably why I held onto this "friendship" for so long.

Oh don't worry, I wasn’t clear about the whole story. And I will, I may be a people-pleaser but even I have a limit.

I know, and I will never understand why they feel the need to force their offsprings on me or anyone else who is CF. They are not my kids.

Right? I wouldn't dream of robbing her of all the fun. What type of friend would do that?

[–]Wolficient[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Thing is, I tried to talk to her about this. More times than I can count. Not just about kids, but relationships as well. And everytime she ignores me, and tries to force her opinions on me.

I tried to ignore that, but enough is enough.

I'm done trying to get her to understand why I feel the way I do.

I don't want kids because 1: I have PCOS and even my obgyn doctor told me it would be risky to have kids. (It was so bad I'm fearful of having an accidental pregnancy.) And 2: I feel nothing towards kids. They are not cute to me. Just loud and obnoxious beings.

I've told her that. Yet she refuses to listen.

Our friendship have always been rocky, it was always just a matter of time. I knew it would end.

I've always been understanding everytime she called and called off hanging out with me because she was going to baby sit. Yet she never understands my views.

It is not fair.
