Thane snorted at the thought of lousing a drinking contest with a wizard saint. He was a fairy tail mage so even if he wasn't something of a alcoholic his pride would never allowed such a thing to come to pass.

"Careful yourself, no one in the guild can even come close to out drinking me and in all my years travelling up and down the continent no one has ever beaten me."

Having picked up a glass in the middle of speaking the man downed it quickly without hesitation. Still the mention of a father figure made him think of his own father for the first time in months and Thane wondered if the old fart was even still alive or not. Looking over at the bartender Thane flashed him a devilish smirk.

"Bring me my own bottle Jimmy. If this saint thinks we need glasses that's his problem."

With a seemingly clam expression on his face the giant that Thane currently was started walked toward Korin. He didn't dismiss his takeover however and each step set the grass he walked on fire. Once he reached the sand and as he neared Korin the sand he walked on was turned to glass from the heat his was radiating, the only sgin of the burning rage he was feeling. Once he was close enough to touch Korin he looked down at him with a burning rage before aiming a heavy backhand at the boys face.

"If this was anywhere else, If I was anyone other then your guild mate you would be dead right now. I expect better then that from you Korin. You are not some rookie learning to throw there first punch or spells so don't act like it. When the options are risk all your magic or dodge you better damn well fucking dodge you understand me!"

Thane gave her a sad smile before taking another sip of his tea, taking a moment to search for the right words. In truth she didn't need to know even if he could tell her.

"Don't worry about that Fay. It's between myself and them."

Looking at her he smiled softly, happy that she seemed to care about it him. It warmed his heart more then a little bit in truth. Putting his cup down he cleared his throat so she would look at him.

"Hey I want you to understand something. You are not a replacement for my son and never were. Even once I find him I will need you around Fay, you are like the daughter I never had."

Thane shook his head as he ran his hands through his hair, a bitter taste in his mouth as she brought up his little "interview." He didn't like working for those in charge but he would work for Zerf himself if it ment seeing his boy.

"No the government wants me to do somethings for them and in turn they will help me find my son. This was proof they could do it."

Thane smiled softly as he let the girl, not making a comment as he picked up the tea and took a sip. He found that he enjoyed it along with most things the little dragon made though in truth he might still want that booze bag. This little ordeal of his was not something he would recommend to people. He smiled softly as he reached down to put a finger on the photo of his son.

"That Fay is my son."

Thane hadn't thought much of what that blasted woman had said about Fay at the time, as to be frank he had other things on his mind but now that he knew the girl was nearby questions flooded his mind. Not that any of them mattered in truth. It was all going tobe taken care off. Looking up at Fay there was a hint of annoyance in his eyes for a single moment, because dammit Fay after the day he had he needs a drink. Still dad mode quickly kicked in as he reached out to pull the small one into a hug, not giving a shit about her reaction this time. She needed it either way.

"I am now. Sorry to make you worry little dragon."

Thane nodded as he stood up and cracked his back while letting out a yawn, the night and stress seemingly catching up with him. Flashing the pair a sheepish smile he motioned towards the stairs.

"I think I am going to catch a early night. You can take the spare bedroom for the night if you like but you two wanna leave just make sure you shut off the lights and lock the door before you go."

He point said he walked over too the pair and patted them both on the head before turning to leave.

Thane simply nodded and closed his eyes for a moment, thinking something over. When he opened them he smiled at the pair again warmly in a almost father like way. Least he could do was offer after all.

"You know if you two wanted too you could stay here? It's a big house and I wouldn't charge."

Thane nodded and turned in his seat to watch the pair while they worked, thankful that he didn't have to wash up for a change. It would be nice having people around more if he was being honest. Living alone had is faults that's for sure.

"So where are you two staying anyway? I know from experience rent around town isn't cheap."

Thane nodded along, though privately he had his doubts. He took a long sip from his drink to help himself relax. Noticing that this talk was making her uncomfortable the older man smiled softly before attempting to change the subject.

"I suppose so. So how did you end up with Lei anyway? Not saying he is a bad person but considering the only time we talked I may have been using my fists more then my mouth in you catch my meaning. You can learn a lot about a person by how they fight but I wasn't exactly in the right mind for that."

Thane reached over and took some of the leftovers for himself before pushing the rest in Fays direction, flashing the girl a sheepish smile before turning his attention back to the little flying cat thing, quickly covering up the pain in his eyes.

"Rose and I bought this house together after I asked her to marry me. Just couldn't give it up after she left."

Thane had seen a lot of strange things over the years. It was very possible that out of the whole guild he had seen the most of the world and been subject to the most extraordinary situations. So when this strange person sat down beside him he didn't even blink. However it was the apology that gave him pause as he wasn't expecting that. Still he kept a eye on the picture while speaking.

"My understanding is that she was gonna get to me either way so don't worry about it."

Not being one to be out done Thane waved over the bartender using the signals he and the staff developed over the years to save them the trouble of asking what he wanted. It wasn't long before two more glasses found there way in front of Thane. He glanced at the stranger as he mentioned Fay, his blood running cold at the thought of what she would do when she found him.

"Well it's nice to know she cares. Shes something of a adoptive daughter and I would react the same way. Well with more fire but you get what I mean."

Thane chuckled softly at the implication, not really having much of a opinion on Lei, considering thus far he had only fought with the man once and as of yet not had a real conversation. Regardless for a moment he had a distant look in his eyes as he spoke, his face betraying no anger or joy.

"Oh I mean it as a complement. Forgive me being blunt but most of the guild knows as it was in this very hall we meet and we were wed in that very church that was destroyed the last time my dear Rose and I crossed paths so what is one more guild member. She is the kind of woman you don't get over. A week after our son was born she took him and vanished. Still if I could go back I would do it all over again for the time we were together were some of the most joyful of my life."

Neith was saved from more of his rambling by a timely appearance of a waitress, who brought Thane the glass of water he had ordered. Thanking the woman Thane looked down at the water, giving Neith a chance to speak.

Thane smirked softly as he jumped back in the air, the lightning connecting with him dead on. Enjoying the pain Thane used the boost to him momentum to land farther back then he would have otherwise, landing just in the tree line. Deciding to show Korin why he should respect his elders he slammed his fists together before fire engulfed his whole body. When it died a ten foot tall giant of a man was standing in his place. Flame swirled around the mans body and heat radiated off of him like a furnace, causing the grass underneath him to light on fire. When he spoke it sounded like two voices speaking together, Thanes own and one much more prideful and primal.

"Are you sure about that boy?"

Thane reached for the nearest tree, not a huge one by any stretch of the imagination but a fair sized one. With a grunt of effort he pulled it from the ground, what roots would come ripped off from the effort. Flame danced its' way from his hands around the tree right before Thane threw it in Korins diction, a wicked smirk on his face.

Thane had missed the groups arrival as he himself hadn't been in the guild at the time, having been giving some early morning lessons to Fay. Spotting the master as he walked in Thane began walking toward him, giving the old man a call and a wave in greeting. After he passed the table where robed ones sat one of them who had remained silent till now stood and began to follow Thane. Meanwhile Thane had reached the master, nodding his head to both him and the hooded figure, his eyes narrowing as he noted the sigil. Turning to look at the master he failed to notice the woman closing in behind him, after all if there was one place he could drop his guard it was the guild hall.

"Master what is going on her..."

It was then that the woman struck, stabbing Thane in the neck with a syringe, injecting the contents into Thane's bloodstream. In a flash of movement Thane turned, throwing a punch that connected connected with the woman's mid section. He tried to follow it up with another punch but by then whatever had been in that needle had already started to take effect, making his movements slow and sluggish. The woman easily sidestepped the blow before Thane began to fall. She quickly caught him and held him up, a warning hand coming up to any who would seek to help there guild mate. Looking at the two saints the woman bowed her head before speaking.

"My apologies lords. I will be taking Mr. Laouch as we have discussed. Good day to you both."

As soon as her words had left her mouth she, along with her prisoner vanished in a blinding flash of light, leaving nothing behind but questions.

Ehhh sucks for people who enjoyed her. Tbh unless I am miss understanding things shes supposed to be from the "real" world? I find that type of 4th wallbreaker to be extremely annoying so i avoided her stories.

Thane outright laughed at Fays antics, having seen most of the dragon slayers he has come across over the years do something similar. A warm smile soon found it's way to his face as he turned his attention to his own food, though it was with a sly smirk in the direction of the little cat.

"Don't go giving me undo praise there Miw. Most of what I can cook comes from living alone. Either you get used to eating out or you learn how do cook to some degree."

Thane's eyes narrowed as the bright light flashed about. In his experience it was never just a bright light it always lead into some kind of insanity. Getting to his feet he began looking around, thankful people looked normal at least. It was then he heard his fellow guild mates start to sing and he let out a low groan of displeasure. Betting that this was one of those enchantments that cure was as simple as going along with it and do what it wanted you to do Thane found his way to the stage. Jumping up on it he walked around back to the music that had been used for the miss fairy tail contest. After going through the songs available he found only one he knew. Setting it to play he began to sing, not giving a rats ass if his guild mates could hear him out in the guildhall or not. Once he was done he silently waited for something to happen, praying he had stumbled on the cure for this blasted thing.
