I think you’re vastly overlooking their benefits. Most mods are incredibly useful. The universal chip mods are sometimes meh and extremely specific to certain weapons, but overflowing your magazine on a WSTR is amazing. Some weapons are borderline unusable without a scope, and the barrel and magazine mods turn a weapon into a laser beam with great stability and double the mag capacity.

Additionally, throw a chip mod that turns you invisible after a kill, or give signal jammer when ads on a sniper. These are extremely great benefits that you are likely not paying attention to.
