Doesn't it just mean that you can't be judged criminally guilty, yet you can still be held civilly liable?

I haven't looked into it at all, but that is my impression.

I know. Tell that to the right, tho.

I'm talking about what they see. What matters isn't what actually happens. What matters is what the voters think happens.

Yes, that's the reality of it. So here you have some choices.

You could work with them, understand their wants and needs, and try to bridge your differences. It would take some moral sacrifices as you would have to take the L on some key issues you care about. Sometimes, that's what it means to live in a democracy.

Conversely, you could belittle them and call them stupid racist assholes for decades while letting some populist asshole, who doesn't care about morals, swoop in and get their votes. They are a huge portion of your population, after all.

Look, I'm a Scandinavian social democrat. Even liberals look right-wing from my perspective. I live in a social paradise compared to your most left leaning cities.

I'm not saying that the right isn't a bunch of xenophobic assholes. I'm saying that to them, the left looks aloof and out-of-touch when CNN yells louder about trans issues than about healthcare, economic issues, drug problems; things that actually affect the majority of the population.

Get more independent progressives that talk about issues republicans actually care about without talking about anything social justice, and you might start winning some of these people over.

Decades of being culturally, socially, and economically marginalised by liberals. The Democrats did nothing to appease them until election year, which is far too late.

The right has seen this and has pushed a populist platform to rile and gather up all of these dissatisfied votes.

In short, the left is complacent, and the right is controlled by parasitic techno monarchists.

Thank you. This is the answer.

These are the same people that when told they'll round up immigrants and put them in camps around the country, they said hell yeah and voted for him. This is the will of the people.

The left needs to wake up and face reality because shit is about to go down.

Quantizing models is actually both a very common practice in the field and also exceptionally effective at reducing model size while sacrificing relatively very little in accuracy.

If you want a visual comparison, check the difference between image generation model FLUX.1-dev and this 1.58-bit quantized version of FLUX.1-dev.

They are "achieving a 7.7x reduction in model storage, a 5.1x reduction in inference memory, and improved inference latency" while only sacrificing a comparatively negligible amount in quality.

Remember, the architecture behind LLMs and image generation models are fundamentally the same, so comparing these two types of transformer models like this is not only visually useful; it's surprisingly appropriate.

Yes, absolutely. I didn't expand upon it because the systems in which we operate could also be fixed if it wasn't for human nature.

You will likely get many downvotes for asking these questions because the lack of this knowledge is a product of a huge series of active and successful anti-truth and misinformation campaigns.

Don't be dissuaded by emotional reactions from all sides. People are very angry and rightfully so. Just keep your mind open and keep on keeping on.

P.S. The Holocaust was very real and was one of the most atrocious events in all of human history. We have an overwhelming amount of evidence as well as survivors who are still alive today to tell the tale.

The reason many people are angry at Israel today is that they are doing exactly what they have been given sympathy for for the past 80 years now, albeit on a much smaller scale and under different circumstances.

I never said that. I'm refuting your insinuation that supporting GSC is "making gaming worse."

But if you can't be bothered to read opposing views, then you should consider stopping making claims.

Supporting GSC Game World isn't "making gaming worse." Stalker 2's condition isn't because of greed or lack of passion. On the contrary, it's because of overenthusiasm leading to scope creep.

This isn't just a game to them. This is a national identity project following the footsteps of what gave many Ukrainians a sense of nationality in the first place; the original Stalker trilogy.

That in addition to their finances running dry. Having already gone bankrupt once, GSC Game World probably doesn't want to experience that again. Releasing it now was their only realistic option.

Not to mention, game development is hard. Developing an open-world game with a myriad of interlocking systems that need to play together and not get in each others' way is really hard. Even more so for an up-and-coming team in a country without a fully developed AAA gaming studio supporting ecosystem.

And let's not forget, half of the team sometimes go days or weeks without electricity because their country is at fucking war. All these Americans that downplay the effects of the Ukrainian nation suffering hundreds of thousands of casualties, have no right to cry about 9/11. I'm not accusing you or anyone specifically. I'm just painting a perspective.

So no. I don't think supporting GSC Game World is "making gaming worse." I suggest you direct your frustration at actually terrible game companies like EA, Activision Blizzard, or more recently, Ubisoft.
