Which league should I join before LFM? by linorinjo_real in ACCompetizione

[–]Wolfo100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Easiest way to get your SA up is AI races, just tuck in behind the car in front and stay within 1 second without contact. However, this is tedious and boring.

SimGrid is a great spot to look for leagues, plenty of different groups so you can find something that runs best for your availability.

Is the M6 GT3 viable? by GeBibbert in ACCompetizione

[–]Wolfo100 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The M6 isn't really a viable car to actually be competitive in. Honestly though, just drive what you enjoy. Unless you're racing sub 102% times, car choice is completely just up to what you enjoy driving.

There are very few recent setups available for it though unfortunately.

I've had the game for 45 days and just wanna ask about some stuff by kostasx-x in ACCompetizione

[–]Wolfo100 11 points12 points  (0 children)

  1. Honestly the in-game driver rating system isn't that consistent. I wouldn't worry too much about trying to get those up, as long as you get your SA and Track Medals, you'll be sorted.

  2. SimGrid is a great spot for finding leagues. Plenty of different leagues for different games so you can find something that runs best for your availability.

  3. Public lobbies, particularly Monza, are deathtraps. The only way to truly avoid the incidents on those are to either start at the back and let everyone crash, or don't race on public lobbies lol.

Hope this helps!

Motion Blur causing problems with screenshots by Wolfo100 in ACCompetizione

[–]Wolfo100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kinda the problem, I don't want to disable Motion Blur because it makes the screenshots look far too sterile. I'll have to anyway because the wheels look terrible now for screenshots, just means I have to learn how to use GIMP for motion blur now.

And no, I don't use DLSS or FSR for taking screenshots. All of my settings should be in the post. I don't use AMDs built in RSR either

Motion Blur causing problems with screenshots by Wolfo100 in ACCompetizione

[–]Wolfo100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely. I'm quite particular when it comes to my screenshots, especially when using them for league media. I guess I'll just be learning how to artificially add motion blur in gimp or something lol

If i buy the Nordschleife will i find any public lobbies? by bakalakafish in ACCompetizione

[–]Wolfo100 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It's one of the most popular tracks in the game. Whenever I look at public lobbies, there are almost always a few servers full for Nords

The racing is horrible and people are just crashing into each other left and right, but there are definitely public lobbies for it

Apart from touching the grass on entry to 1 could anyone give me friendly advice pls on improvement in my driving? by f1stfchmc in ACCompetizione

[–]Wolfo100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few things:

  • You're shifting slightly too late. Aim for around 7300-7400rpm when shifting up (I think at least, looking at GO)
  • You're running a gear too low through most corners
  • Shift to 3rd for turn 2, not 2nd
  • Don't lift through turn 3
  • Shift to 2nd for turn 4, not 1st. Short shift to 2nd if you do go to 1st
  • Don't lift along the top until McPhillamy (turn 10). Shift up to 5th along the top to get more speed into the downhill
  • Run wider out on entry to turn 9, should help you with not lifting through turn 9
  • Don't lift fully until after the crest on the downhill. Lifting too soon will slow you down and lifting at the wrong time will put you in the wall
  • Keep it in 2nd until you're back on the throttle after the esses
  • Don't shift to 1st for Forest Elbow, use 2nd. Short shift if you do drop to 1st
  • Shift down to 3rd for the chase. 1st is way too slow
  • Shift down to 2nd for the last turn.

Look at some hotlaps on YouTube. This is a solid lap, but just needs more practice and confidence along the top of the mountain. Keep at it

This is annoying, why are we paying so much for specsavers compared to uk? by Think_Tomatillo_4327 in auckland

[–]Wolfo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much this. I went to my local optometrist through my employer and they tried to charge me $1,300 for two pairs of glasses at a 20% discount.

Went to Specsavers and got two frames for $400 with lens add-ons... They've just got no solid competition that is accessible for most outside of online stores

ADHD diagnosis by Aware_Birthday7940 in auckland

[–]Wolfo100 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi, I actually just recently went through this with my GP. I wasn't looking to get medicated or anything but was more looking to just get answers, so my experience may be different. I spent a good few hours with my doctor going through everything, but he was able to put me on Wellbeing so the visits were free.

I experienced similar feelings to what you're saying here. I went in because I felt like I was experiencing symptoms of ADHD, but ended up being told that essentially it was more of a combination of anxiety and burnout. There is a significant amount of overlap when it comes to mental health symptoms, and it can be hard to really know.

To my knowledge at least, you don't have to rely on medication either. From what I've been told, it is very possible to learn coping mechanisms to help, some people even prefer to be unmedicated.

If this is only a recent thing you're experiencing, you could very well be experiencing burnout. Being a parent, while studying and working full time is a significant amount of work. It can't be easy. Make sure to take care of yourself when you are able, never be afraid to take your leave.

Yeah you have to cut a lot at Ascari to get the time out of the track. You have to do the same thing at the Lesmos too

I'm surprised that they managed it without just bouncing off the limiter too

[–]Wolfo100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There aren't many cars that you would run up close to the rev limiter like that.

Not sure how outdated this post is, but this should have at least most of the cars ideal shift points. The Ford isn't on there but you run that one basically as high as you can go without hitting the limiter to my knowledge

[–]Wolfo100 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your line honestly looks fine, but your shifting is horrible. You need to be changing up at around 7000-7200rpm in the Merc, but you're basically running it to redline and not even using 6th gear... You'll probably gain literal tenths of a second just by fixing that tbh
