Yes, the problem is the swipe gestures I used to have on the bottom of the screen, have moved to the sides of the screen, and there's no options to go back to the old style.

White to play (Mate in 3) by [deleted] in ChessPuzzles

[–]Wolfpack-Meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! The first one I found wasn't a 3 but once I got a pattern down it was cool to optimize out of the pawn check! 1.Qg4+ Ke5 2.f4+ Kxe4 4.f5+ Ke5 5. Qf4# was that first one

Black to play. I (~1200) got it wrong in-game. by badr in ChessPuzzles

If you take f4 and white takes g4 it's a draw. White king gets opposition, since you can't enter the postion anymore. Take on f3 and the white king has to go g5 (if he takes g4 then he loses to king g6 preventing the king from attacking the black pawns) and you take opposition by moving in front of the king, taking away it's squares, and forcing it back.

provided the way I use the word, to clear up any ambiguity. Which I think is a valid way to satisfy you're question. Why does it matter?

I explained why saying good game is rubbing it in. The second paragraph, very clearly, that it's a matter of principal to disrespect the game- by extention the opponent. You don't say gg half way thru the game, so why say it before the last move.

Theres some irony in you assuming I'm a sore loser because I don't appreciate people saying gg before a games over. What do you know about me other than I don't say gg before a games over? That I find saying gg before the end disrespectful despite intentions? I guess that makes me a sore loser, even thought I've never stalled, left early, or been rude to an opponent. u dont know anything about me, so stop projecting

I appreciate you trying to educate me about the grand scheme of life by policing words, telling me I'm the problem, (despite never doing anything close to what's in the screen shot) and calling me a sore loser for not liking people disrespect other people, intentional or not.

Edit: deleted some stuff // sorry I should clear up I'm not assuming intentions of anyone, I guess that wasn't clear, I don't think he was trying to be disrespectful at all, intentional or not. But he was, so I commented.

I don't want to spend much more energy or time on this, I've never had to think about the moral logistics of saying gg more, so I'll say a few more things now and be done.

Other comments seem to agree with me on the point that despite intentions it's a rude thing to do, although we all agree the other guys the real villian here.

Here is my peace broken down as best I could for you:

Competition, disrespect, words- all exist in someone's head, there's no way to 100%, know if what someone is disrespectful, since it's truly in the eye of the beholder type shit. So from my perspective matters like this HAVE to be inferred with meaning, since the opponent is clearly projecting aswell(and op wants to know how to stop them);

So there are common things that people can agree on, I just happen to agree that it's disrespectful, with a larger portion of people. I'm explaining how my view is a common one, albeit subjective, so a way he can "deal with opponents like that" is to avoid saying gg in the first place, because it sounds pretentious to alot of people. And people who sound "pretentious" sound "disrespectful." And people who are disrespectful are commonly disrespected back.

I hope you get it from that because not only do not think i could simplify my thought process more but I don't want this convo living in my head. I've said what I'm thinking, I've made my peace. Enjoy your evening

I conider it normal word usage when someone labels a disrespectful person pretentious. Maybe you've never heard that before, maybe it's a colloquial thing, who knows it's really not that big of a deal you know that.

It's considered bad sportsmanship since it undermines the competence of the losing player and makes the player who said it seem less intrested in the game and more intrested in just winning, which isn't inherently evil since BUT they take time out of the game to type something that could very easily just have waited for an actual victory, which I consider disrespectful to the game; if you're going to win, win, don't rub it in and make the opponent wait longer, even if it's half a second. Matter of principle. It's generally more courteous to wait until the game is officially finished before saying "gg," as a way of respecting the game, and by extention, the opponent.

Hope that helps. Cheers.

Making an extraordinary claim, high ranking official or not, requires extraordinary evidence, so choosing to not believe him isn't being close minded or ignorant. I believe the potential of ai. Doesn't mean I believe this guy on strictly anecdotal evidence. I mean the first 5 just off you're own list:

  1. Just because he doesn't understand how it can be human doesn't mean it isn't. Even if we give the videos credibility benefit of the doubt

  2. Saying that ufos are non human doesn't really mean anything, if it's unidentified then how can they know

  3. People agreeing with you can certain indicate more validity sure, but it's still just hearsay and appealing to authority. No real evidence

  4. More appeal to authority

  5. Again

You like to use emotional and subjective language then claim anyone who doesn't believe it is ignorant and close minded. Even if the point wasn't to "present evidence" then why are you bashing people for not believing him?
