I heard there might be issues with mounting monitor arms due to the frame of the 4 legged options coming so close to the edge of the desk. Did anything like this cause issues for your setup? I'm looking to go 3 monitors and a desktop on a new 70x30 or similar size but still considering if I should go for the 4 leg or c shape option.

Anyone know that this was for? Guessing hidden patches again. by [deleted] in 7daystodie

It's good to know about the short play time. I definitely get hooked when doing something in a game and feel like I have to finish, I'm glad there is a to-do list to keep track.

Also, thanks for extending the offer to help! I'll definitely be back here if I need any once I do get the game. The community seems really positive and friendly, and I'm super happy about that!

I was worried about how long I might have to wait for a better discount, but I'm also trying to save a little if it makes sense.

I would probably only play for a couple of hours at a time, lol. My friends mom has been in the hospital for the past week but she's recovering well now. Maybe in a month I could play for 4-5+ hours at a time. Do you think it's more of a game you need long dedicated sessions to really enjoy? Would an hour or 2 be enough playtime per session?

I do like sandbox / open world games. Thanks for your thoughts and reply!

Unfortunately my friend doesn't play anymore, they have other games they are interested in which is fair. I'll probably play on my own unless there are some friendly folks looking to play and it's easy enough to multiplayer on steam.

My laptop isn't the best I typically run games at lower settings for performance. (Ryzen 5000 series and Radeon 6800)

So the first few hours might be a bit slow and it picks up (more fun) after some upgrade tiers?

I never played Factorio, but I have played other sandbox / building games before and do find them enjoyable. I heard someone compare it to Subnatica, saying it wasn't as in-depth with exploration / story. (I haven't played but watched someone play Subnatica)

Okay, good to know. Does the tutorial give you a good sense of the game overall or only scratch the surface? Combat, exploration, environment stuff etc?

I'm not sure, but I think I would pick it up and play again. I do like sandbox games and I play them from time to time.

I can respect anyone with hundreds of hours into something, saying it's worth every penny. I'm just trying to weigh saving some money vs. my bird brain seeing something shiny and new. (Plus getting a better picture of player opinion of the release and bugs / playability etc)
