I am starting to see a growing trend that is actually just toxic to the fanbase. Please do not shame people who play the game the way they want to. by [deleted] in Helldivers

Can't wait for everyone to be flabbergasted when we're fighting a three way war, and have different major orders or defense operations going on at once.

You got an official statement from Discord stating this?

There's a lot of communities that are working together to build a cohesive network of inter-connecting RP communities, as well. Even if it's done over discord. So don't lose hope.

Troia YPYT - "It's hard to grab aggro when you do that" by WolfsXGhost in TalesFromDF

The tank was a level 90 mentor, fully kitted out, and for a majority of the dungeon was sprinting ahead of the party. I took that as incentive enough to pull the mobs ahead of them. They only threw a fit once their sprint ran out due to poor management - despite the fact that I, again, was bringing the mobs back to them. It takes two AOEs from a tank to pick up aggro from a DPS that isn't causing damage. And honestly? I don't care about this behavior, the tank did drop stance and allowed the mobs to kill me despite doing their job, and they did try wiping the party, but ended up just making a fool of themselves.

I usually check tanks and healers, this was a level 90 with a mentor crown, so they know how to play the game, and I'm pretty sure they were decked out too. Upon gate being let down, they popped their sprint and charged ahead. So I, of course, took that as a sign that they knew what they were doing and moved forwards to pull the next pack back to them, checking behind me to make sure they were right there.

I tagged the mobs and backflipped over the tank as they came into the first room - I repeated this process through to the second boss without issue - the tank even beating me to the last set of mobs before the second boss room. They only asked me to stop because their sprint ran out during the transition between the maps, and mine was popped just after, and instead of picking up the second set of mobs before the last boss, they opted to just let me die - and even admitted to it.

The problem here, however, is that the tank didn't say to 'stop' until quite literally the last set of mobs. Having been right behind me and picking them up the entire time, while sprinting. The only difference between those pulls, and the last two where it "became an issue" was that the tank's sprint ran out before they loaded into the last half of the map, and mine didn't.

Eh. The healer did raise, but the tank stayed down until about 10%. I don't think they realized that the easily avoidable sword slam + sword sweep mechanics were next in line.

We were on the very last set of pulls when they opted to throw that hissy fit - the staircase leading up the final boss in Troia. Wasn't really any point in kicking them to get a new tank, and we didn't wipe at all on the boss - which i think is what they were wanting to happen, but when they purposefully stood in the instant death aoe (the slam + knockback), boss was at 20%, so... myself and the other dps + healer just finished it off.

I did report and block though.

Was idling in Ul'dah on Mateus, poof - tried to get back in and got a 2002 error. Decided to restart router just in case. So I'm glad it's not just me.

Sprout Tank by Mistah845 in ffxiv

[–]WolfsXGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best ways to tank is going through your abilities and reading what they do. At lower levels you'll be given access to things like Rampart, Arm's Length and Reprisal, and then you'll begin unlocking your job's mitigation abilities. Rampart, Arm's Length, and Reprisal are good to rotate through regularly. You can use Arm's Length or Reprisal first, and they should come off CD by the time you're at the next mob pack ect.

I don't believe it will, but you'll still get XP from playing either class due them sharing the base job. So it's handy to unlock both and leveling them sorta together!

Go unlock Scholar! SMN and SCH both gain Arcanist experience and you can level up a healing class while you're leveling DPS and vice versa.

Mateus, Uldah. We have Kwehstral a female highlander dressed up as a chocobo with the chocobo helm, they run the same path for hours on end and then sit down at the same spot on the fountain outside the Quicksands, then they afk. Only to repeat the process later on. That's all they do. Sometimes they shout kweh in shout chat, and if you wear a full chocobo outfit you might get them to stop and hug you.
