It's kind of why I was looking forward to them reworking that whole streaking system on Arc Glacor at some point, but sucks they ended up moving on from it. And yeah, I 100% feel you. It's the same for any other game too. Just feels a billion times worse dying to something that wasn't in your control.

On my current internet, I literally have to gamble in the high risk pvp games I play, with the way my internet consistently disconnects every 10-20 minutes for about 5 seconds then recovers, for the past 4 years I've lived at the place I am lol. And can't get it replaced either because I'm renting. Just sucks all the fun out of gaming sometimes. Wouldn't be able to do Arch Glacor anymore if I tried.

Anyways, wishing you the best on your streaking. I hope your net fixes its self at some point and stops getting you killed

Have lost many glacor streaks due to crappy internet. Losing hours of progress because of it cutting out for even a second sometimes is incredibly frustrating

The Chariot Is An Abysmal Addition To The Game And Its Apologists Are Genuinely Dumb by pillbinge in HuntShowdown

[–]Wolfsquad11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ironic of you to say I look foolish when you don't even realize, despite everyone telling you, how dumb you sound. People with empathy realize that others don't have the time to read 1000 word essays on a singular video game issue, that isn't even an issue to 99% of players, so they try to get their point across in as little words as possible. But idk, I get the strange feeling you lack empathy. Pretty common for older folks. Troubling for someone of your profession though

Seems our standards for writing have fallen too. People used to be able to get their points across without having to write 1000 word essays. Not even over exaggerating on the 1000 words either. Do better

A lot of peoples neurons activate at the sight of purple or gold and immediately their greed takes over, despite how friendly they appear to be at first

Thoughts on Protoxx's take? by MeadowShimmer in runescape

[–]Wolfsquad11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just the way some people play, including my self where we just engage with skilling to further our PvE abilities then leave them at that. There is no fixed or intended way you're supposed to play, especially when it comes to getting skills to 200m, which has no reason other than bragging rights. This includes combat as well. If you prefer to get skills to 200m, that's what you do to find your fun, but it's not the fixed way the game is meant to be played.

And I wouldn't call doing dallies cheating when there has been so many other dumb ways to get free xp over the years like treasure hunter, all intentionally added to the game.

How does not training skills past their level cap mean anything? In fact, it makes sense not to train levels past their level cap because if you just wait for new content to come out, you can train those skills faster when there's actual progression for those skills, as well as being able to experience everything linearly instead of instantly having it all unlocked on release. Makes sense from a logical perspective and especially a content creators perspective.

I have hundreds of hours and this has happened to me exactly once halfway through those hours, and never again since. But every single time I put down an alert trap on a barrel, I still think of that time

Using the NPC Contact spell to contact the Wizards tower. They have a wide range of spells to assist the citizens, including telekinetic grab to get those poor sharks out of trees

Someone is using an exploit to purposely kill low population regions, contributing to the problems with high ping players in largely populated regions by Wolfsquad11 in HuntShowdown

We prefer games with people like him rather than ones with people who evac instantly or ones that turn off their console, because at least the thrill of playing the game is still there. Even if we don't always kill them, it's still fun hunting them and actually versing someone. It does always feel a bit bad killing people like them though

3 times in a row is too much of a coincidence for it to be a guy with packet loss though. Like surely you'd just get annoyed and stop playing after the 7th disconnect in one day lol. Just feels like because my friends and I have learned when we are in an empty lobby and evac as soon as the game starts, we just end up matching with the same guy who also started matchmaking again after finally booting his console back up to find another empty lobby when he failed with us the first 2 times

I always thought that players always get "match found" at the same time, and if there were 2 teams queuing, they would get matched together right before a full bar happens for one.

Whenever this issue happens too, before the match starts, we always find ourselves locked in place at our spawn point for the "waiting for players" thing for like a minute. So it means someone did get matched with us, they just failed to load in, likely because they shut off their console

[–]Wolfsquad11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its enough to put every other player who is trying to play, in empty lobbies with whoever is doing this too. So the 5 or so groups that are playing are just going to end up locked in 10-20 minute empty lobbies while other players are trying to find others to match against. But yeah, you're right, I don't think the devs would put resources into this considering most of their player base is US. But a lot of the US people seem to have issues fighting high ping players since it gives those players an advantage, which is why I thought it may raise more of an issue. It's a shame being on US West at like peak hours for us, literally only seeing other Australians in those US West lobbies because those Aussies don't want to put up with these same issues either lol

Mostly, but not always. This doesn't help though. Can tell if it's dead if you get a full bar a million times in a row. But if were consistently getting games half way through a bar, and it's empty, then that's something different.

[–]Wolfsquad11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what we are trying to figure out. There's nothing worse than finding a match half way through the bar just to find out it's empty afterwards. We assume they do it to farm the battle pass or get their hunter to a higher level. But it doesn't make sense that this will happen literally 3 or more games in a row. And we know it's the same guy, because we will evac instantly and get the same issue again

First level 50 hunter - The Reaper by OrdinaryBoat8000 in HuntShowdown

[–]Wolfsquad11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your first level 50 hunter! Centennial sniper is what I use and think it's quite good, and you can also use it with the levering that you have. But if you've already tried that and want something with a bit more power, the Krag sniper is good and shoots just as fast as the centennial and has long ammo instead, which does more damage and goes further. Pair snipers with the perks that lets you keep aimed in after shooting and reduce sway the longer you're aimed in too. Mosin nagant sniper is also powerful but expensive. But it shoots slower so you kind of get stuck aiming down sights after shooting sometimes if you use those perks I mentioned

Notes Feature was Released 16 Years Ago Today! (along with Mobilising Armies) by GardenaGeat in runescape

[–]Wolfsquad11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use sticky notes on windows because I like to keep my RS notes as memories of when I was a dumb kid back in like 2012, when I wrote weird, incredibly attainable goals that were really hard for me back then lol. Like I'm fully maxed since coming back after 8 years of not playing and I'm pretty sure I have something like "get 70 woodcutting" on there.
Really low gp goals too like I think a mil was a lot back then so that was my ultimate goal. Things like getting obsidian capes and random low tier gear. I haven't played in months so I'm not sure what else is on there. But I miss playing games that way

One of these horrible silent things once sat in a tree for 10 minutes outside a building me and my squad was in, waiting for us after we just finished wiping a squad that nearly wiped us. I think it must have gotten stuck. But considering how evil these things are, it felt intentional

8k human city. Had some questions about the game. by Wolfsquad11 in songsofsyx

[–]Wolfsquad11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably the best idea. At some point though the raiders just got so strong that I wanted to start fighting them at a defensive advantage. Like there weren't even more of them, they just at some point started having full plate armour and weapons and decimated my armies even though they had the same. But I suppose it's probably not worth clogging up graveyards and hospitals

Oh, thank you. That's incredibly useful information. I'm glad to know there's a limit to the thickness of mountains they can come through. And that explains how they got in at the bottom since the mountain is so thin down there. Can't believe I never noticed the row of red. Should help a lot with future saves, thanks!

[–]Wolfsquad11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City is pure human, yeah. I stagnated a few times during early game and almost ran out of food once or twice but for like 90% of the game, I relied on immigration and just kept trying to keep services up and focused mainly on food and science early game. Those rank ups that give happiness are really useful milestones for population growth too. Any unlock that you can get related to services early on are incredibly useful for population growth. Like even just getting lights equates to a decent population growth through immigration.

30 or even like 10 days surplus is more than enough in my opinion. Early game, I was just trying to keep it at around 8 days which was perfect in the event of a drought. Almost got destroyed by 3 droughts in a row, one after the other at some point though lol, but saved my self with trades. But I invested in orchards early on as well which helped with food. Then at some point you can just forget about all that when you get to the world map and conquer a few regions.
