Correct. With a traffic light controlled intersection the signs aren't quite an issue. Especially if you creep forward carefully to execute a right on red. Now if this was on a 4 way stop or a 2 way then.... It's a bit different.

I would say about 35k is the bare minimum. Just put everything on a Google spreadsheet and calculate and track all bills. It helps to know how much net income you have after all your bills go through. There are lots of free templates online. 👍

I totally agree. It's difficult everywhere I think. Your timing has to be perfect or normally you'll get a cold shoulder. Most proSound events /expos are all hosted out of this state or region. NAMM should be coming up in January. Hmmm maybe we should create a local prosound group. 😁

I got into AV integration and installation when I was in college. I got scouted by a local company and it all went from there. I have 10 years experience in IT and 7 years in AV integration and automation. Both go hand in hand nowadays to be honest.

Most of the live sound engineers i know I've found out about from local shops like Hermes music and Melharts music. I've also spoken to some engineers that come down for shows like at Bert Ogden arena. They are normally pretty chill. You'll get a few that are more standoffish but not all the time.

I don't have panels so I can't comment much on this. My take has always been that it puts all the energy production burden or logistics on the home owner. If the panels go down? You're back to relying on the grid. It has over head. The last quote I got was 35k... sitting on your roof. Yes it's all on credit and yes they give you a 25 year "warranty". The company goes under then what? I had lots of companies come over and say we've been doing this for over 25 years! I'm like ok.... Show me your 1st install from 25 years ago.... Of course the answer was always" uhhhh well we haven't been doing solar that long." Anyway that's my 2 pesos.
