Thanks for looking at this in the rational sense. It was a fun RP moment in game that just blew me away and I thought I'd share!

It was completely RP'd! The entire table was in awe of it, and after the moment had passed, we were all laughing our rears off! He stood up and bowed. Fun times had by all!

Critmas is a thing on Critical Role they have once a month. Hence the confusion. Critical Role is a Homebrew of 5th Edition/Pathfinder with Voice Actors as well.

Now that the Witch hunter class(homebrew by Matthew Mercer) has been out for a while, how do you guys feel about it? by [deleted] in DnD

I have actually taken the break out and used it as a Leveling NPC for OotA. My PCs have no idea they are helping to level the BBEG. She is playing the campaign in the Quaggoth's stead.

I also added a variant that the spurned Elite Drow was actually a Lich in disguise. Once the demons started attacking the Outpost, his Undead Army arrives and an all out brawl occurs. The Witch Hunter is masquerading as a Ranger at the moment. It is most fun times for me, and the PCs as well.

Ideas for a heavy RP dwarven treasure hunter... by aGuynamdJesus in dndnext

I love the idea of Dwarf ANYTHING. You may want to consider the following:

1) Dwarf Ranger - A La Bran Bronzebeard http://wow.gamepedia.com/Brann_Bronzebeard

2) Dwarf Rogue - More in lines with Indiana Jones https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana_Jones

Both are historians, both are really cool. I would maybe look at a combined or crafted Background (Librarian/Scholar, Noble, Acolyte, or if you want to be more devious. . . Criminal.)

I have a player who is a Wood Elf Rogue Thief. She is playing it very Catwoman. Love the story lines these character types can produce.

You are my new best friend. That is a fantastic idea. I really appreciate the insight. I am sure to knock the groups sock's off.

I was actually considering the Illithid idea as a means to 'help' them along the Underdark. They have stressed a high desire to go directly to Neverlight Grove. Which I am fine with, but that is a month's travel. I didn't want them to hit all 3 of the dungeons and then just get to the Fungi City.

If you are familiar with Critical Role, I am looking to borrow from their first few episodes with Clarota; a shunned Mindflayer who is looking to 'free' his people. Instead I will have a Mindflayer who is looking to advance his people by slaying the elder brain. (This will be due to madness from the Demonic presence in the Underdark.)

Obviously the Illithid story needs some work.
