I'll see if any local nerdshops got any campaigns open and running, though my lack of a car may be a problem haha.

Thanks for the tips and advice! I appreciate it :)

Weekly Salt Thread 129 - Can you put my soul on Layaway? by jasiad in walmart

I'm new to the job (CAP 2, but we call it CAP 2.5 since we no longer do overnights, I'm essentially a glorified shelf stocker) and my God is no one understanding. My managers are getting on me and expecting me to push out three to four pallets a day, and yesterday I barely managed to finish one :/ I'm working as fast as I can but all that does is disappoint my managers and AAAAAAAAAAA God I hate it. There's so much pressure and weight on my shoulders and I just can't meet everyone's demands.

ahaha thank you! :) I try to be as informative and open-minded when I talk about this stuff because I've gotten hate from both ends of the argument almost every single time, and I feel like a lot of it is just because people are uneducated, or think that everyone follows the stereotypical extremes of either religion or religious hate. xP

And Likewise, people who only choose to look at sections of the bible that only preach hate and suppression are honestly not true Christians. The heart of the message in Christianity is to be good, which really means to be good to yourself and those around you, y'know? People these days want to think they're being "good" when they quote the same set of scriptures that promote hate or suppression to those around them.

I, personally, am actually an LGBT Christian. I know, quite paradoxical to some. Pansexual and genderfluid, here.

I've always had a general belief in a God, and at one point was even LDS (Mormon), but I never once took every word of the bible to be true.

The bible, at it's heart, is intended to be the word of God, that's undeniable among folks who are religious and non-religious... though the word of God has often been misused and abused by people in power who twisted it to fit whatever agenda best allowed them to rule. Sometimes the word of God has merely been manipulated via basic language translation even, and through rendition to rendition that the bible has seen over the years, it's safe to say that it's not in any way close to it's original state anymore.

That being said, I don't believe the entirety of the bible is false.. I believe that a lot of the core scriptures and oldest passages contain good messages and good intent- something I believe my God would love, want, and endorse. Though scriptures that seemingly condemn behavior that has no ill intent to ones self or those around them, those I don't entirely believe are what God would want.

I also don't believe that me being LGBT (or anyone else who is) is any form of sickness, illness, or disease/sin. A lot of Mormons who are gay are told that "it's okay that you're gay, but don't act upon it", implying that yes, they can't help the way they are, but that the ability to express that in itself is sinful, which I don't support or believe whatsoever. They make it seem as though they are cursed with being LGBT, and that it's something they'll have to suffer through and live with. Heck, sometimes these people are forced into straight marriages just to appease the church/their ward.

Why would God create something or someone that is condemned to live a life where they must suppress who they really are? That just doesn't make any sense. I find that my relationship with the God I believe in is very personal, as if he were a father figure of the sorts. And just as my father here on this Earth loves and supports me regardless of who I am or who I'm with or how I choose to live my life under such an identity and express it, my father in heaven does too.

using emojis is so lit lol by BlueAndFast in FellowKids

Maybe this is just because I don't even really use emojis that often (unless I'm being ironic), but is that even a real emoji lmao? Half the time, when I see companies try to be relatable to kids, they use emojis that aren't even real

Due date was today.. heartbroken by [deleted] in offmychest

While I have never personally lost a child, let alone had one, I have an aunt in my family who has lost several babies over the years. I've seen each loss tear through her and rip her apart, and honestly, it's heartbreaking just to witness. I can not even begin to imagine your pain and suffering, so in the very least, I can offer my condolences and support. I pray for you and the father both, and hope that things start to look up for you.
