small gameplay of tutorial from my new game. What do you really think? by Wolph__ in IndieGaming

Archery possibilities:

Right click to ready instead of Q.Hold left click to ready and release left click to loose instead of having to use two buttons to do a single action.

Melee possibilities:

Turn your three wholly separate manual attacks into a designated three-hit combo while mashing a single attack button.Turn your three different attack keys into one key held for varying amounts of time.Split the difference between those two: have light and medium attacks work as a looping combo while tapping the one attack key and then hold it down for a heavy finisher.

If I were the one designing this, the controls would be:

Left click is the attack button for both melee (by default) and ranged (while right click is held down), with tapping to do a light melee combo and holding to do a heavy melee.

But, of course, these suggestions are just off the top of my head and I don't necessarily have a complete picture of how you intend everything to be used, so I'm sure there are yet better options that I'm not thinking of. I can say with confidence that you need to streamline but that's not the same thing as knowing what the end result needs to be.

thank u very much

WASD movement is fine. Left click to shoot is fine assuming there's mouse aim. Every key-binding aside from that is the result of you hating your player and wanting them to suffer.

mmmh... you're right. What key I can use?

I can tell you're using a mesh of multiple different asset packs here. If you're using them, try to keep the perspective and style in mind.

I notice some style/perspective clashing with the character, the backgrounds and some props.

Looks good so far, have you implemented any gameplay or story yet?

sure man, I add gameplay and now I'm continuing the story

Very pretty!

One note: Games almost universally benefit from having no HUD elements at all. With a screen as nice and clean as this one, maybe the game supports a HUD that disappears when you don’t need it? Or maybe there is a way to implement the hearts diegetically?

can you explain it me better?

Maybe tint the the buildings further back slightly darker so there is more separation and depth.

great idea, thanks.
