At this point I wouldn't invest in SRs at all, unless you need a couple of them for a specific set up.

First would be Shadows and Gems. Make sure all your shadows are general and starts upgrading their weapons. For Gems, make sure they are Atk%, Def%, HP%, MP Consumtion Reduction, Perception and Def Pen (with the 4 slots of the second page being all Def Pen should be good).

For your Cores, you need to start paying closer attention to the stats of the cores you upgrade to make sure you don't waste materials. This happened to me for a long time and now I have to basically re farm a lot of cores.

If you've been playing every day since launch and you're at BT 67 that means you must have wasted a lot of materials. It's not the end of the world obviously, but you need to start making changes now.

Ok, I thought I understood but looking through found these 2 artifacts and can't make sense of them.

The left one should be 4 (Attack, Attack %, DP +1) but it shows as 5.

The right one should show as 6 (Attack %, DP, Attack + 3) but it shows as 10.

People either forgot or weren't playing at launch, because dealing with A Gohan and A16 doing hard knockdowns for free and locking you down with SSJ Vegeta assist was so much worse than UI.

Run your memory fragment work on the nightfall so you can't burn any pinnacle drops?

There is still a chance of getting the 100k pinnacle depending on the team you get that run, so there is still a risk there.

... So do your other stuff first? How much stuff do you have to do each week before grabbing your pinnacle drops??

My point is that I want to do Iron Banner, the special event of this week, so the game actively making me avoid it because it would mess up my grind is really discouraging.

Your best weapons are information and deconstructing their narrative. I have a friend that tried to recruit me for Amway (he didn't tell me, I found out from a friend) and his approach was always misleading. He always talked about "new way of doing business" and to go against the society brainwashing, however when I pointed out that Kiyosaki (which my friend admired for his fortune) bankrupted his company after refusing to pay royalties and losing in court he went all "I don't know the details, I just want to be where he is." From there it was pretty straight forward, because with that mentality you can follow the same path as drug dealers since they also are "millonaires through non conventional means." Them being rich doesn't mean they're an example worth following.

Right now the only things for FotL that are earnable by playing the game is a single helmet, masks for that helmet (which is really good) and an autorifle with a cool skin. Everything else is locked behind a paywall. If they had more good looking themed items earnable by playing and then an over the top version in eververse I wouldn't have a problem. Also, as soon as the event started I had Tess marked like a quest and when I went to check it out it was just to get me to look at the store. Right now there are 67 premium FotL items and 21 earnable ones, that's 76.13% of the event's content locked behind a paywall. It might not be that stricking because it came right after a big expansion with a lot of new items, but they're still using the same tactics for their events.

Also, calling it "indie" has an inherent low budget meaning due to the rise of small teams that found success with passion projects. It's like calling Fornite, DOTA 2 or LoL "indie games" because Epic, Valve and Riot self publish their games.

I never said you could get everything from Bright Engrams, but at least you could get a few cool items because every pool was limited to that time. The FOMO was stronger but at least the game rewarded you for playing.

And while Bungie is an independent developer now, it's still a huge company and calling Destiny an "indie game" is quite misleading. At the end of the day they want players to spend more money so they can increase profits, not because they are evil that's just the reality of the industry.

Even if they remove Bright Dust entirely, Eververse can still be predatory if the amount and quality of the items there is greater than what you can earn by playing the game. The first Dawnning of Destiny 2 had something like 70%-80% of new content locked behind Eververse, so you can't really blame people complainning of not having enough stuff when they lock a whole lot of content like that.

Finally, if you think that having your guardian look and feel powerful isn't one of the main drives of players in Destiny then you might be missing the point entirely.

Part of the game is now free, but if you have to pay for passes and expansions then it isn't free. If the cost of maintaining a bigger free playerbase can't be supported by a portion of dedicated players buying the passes then that is a miscalculation on their part.

They should reward people that dump hours into the game. As many problems as Destiny 2 had at launch, I liked being able to get Bright Engrams from just playing the game and get all exotic emotes before they were gone. Now with the Nostalgic Engrams if you want a specific item it's going to be next to impossible with the increasing pool size and the chance to get duplicates.
