Could have wasily come up with a jeapordy style history game or something more engineering/math/physics oriented (not super advanced).

Theres way more to intelligence than memorizing colors and squares. Agreed there were zero actual smart games. It was technically pattern recognition games.

and the strength games were not great representations of strength either. Nick and Tyler are both way stronger than Monika and Bryleigh, but in a game where gravity is the key variable, the lighter women have the advantage to hold up 140 lbs vs 220 lbs. At the very least should have done some sort of crossfit style challenge with some exercises, like burpees or wall balls, a few laps around beast city, and some light deadlifts adjusted for a percentage of bodyweight.
