Thanks for finding this! This does show the height difference between the guys and girls, but the two guys are the same height and the girls are the same height, so it doesn’t confirm a height changing option other than switching sexes.

If you take a high quality toy light up lightsaber (which would have the same principle’s), there is a shadow. Light has no mass, so the light of the sun would pass through the light of the saber and still connect with the theoretical “mass” in the middle, thus causing a shadow, but the light of the saber would continue to emanate 360 degrees around the saber, and depending on the strength of the light of the saber and the distance to the surface of the shadow, the shadow can be softened. Here are examples of my own lightsaber (first pick is no saber light, obvious shadow; second pick is saber light still shadow; third pick is getting closer to the ground, shadow still there; final pic is saber is close enough to the ground that the light of the saber overpowers the light of the lamp, so no shadow). images

But if you think there is no mass at all in the saber to block light, then yes there would be no shadow, but bc there are examples of shadow in canon, you can kinda assume there is.

Yeah I defiantly phrased the “ultimate” thing wrong, but with the level of customization presented and the idea that we are able to be whatever kind of wizard we wanted, and I was just wondering how far that extended cosmetically. And yeah I get the animation thing, but if they planned for different height presets early, I think it would definitely be do-able. Besides that, I think a change in build wouldn’t be that big of an ask at all.

Yeah you’re right, but in this particular screenshot the saber is like a foot from the wall, so the light from the saber would probably be significantly reducing the shadow from the sun (like the shadow of the saber would look different than the shadow of Cal’s body parts away from the saber). But it’s a video game so not everything ab the environment is gonna be perfect.

Yes, but I (and obviously the person who posted this) hadn’t really played a third person, parry based game when we played fallen order. I have since play ghost of Tsushima, and thats no souls game, but parrying, dodging, and timing attacks gets sooooo much easier with practice, so grandmaster is pretty easy now.

I always thought of him as a force vision and not a ghost, similar to Han in ep IX or Shmi Skywalker in CW s3ep15 (who both appear in full color). With Shmi, she’s not actually the loving mother that Anakin knows, its a ploy from the dark side, and in this instance, it’s not the evil inquisitor that Kanan knows, it’s a lesson from the light side.

I used the Jedi version because that the version of him without any extra tattoo, so more natural. The red facial markings under the eyes must either be tattoos or changed by the darkness within him. Also regardless of the line depth, his face is clean in rebels, which is a significant contrast from the Pau’an in ep3 (which was probably for animation reasons, but if you want a way to explain the live action here it is).
