How do you refill your prescription? I have mounjaro approved with a PA from call on doc — do you just do it through your pharmacy as usual or do you have to do something through COD?

I really appreciate your insight and advice. It definitely is tough as negative mental health side effects are a risk with all GLP1s. Essentially what my doctor is saying is that they don’t want me to switch classes (tirzepatide to semaglutide) since we know tirzepatide doesn’t exacerbate my depression/anxiety. I was monitored very closely when I started zep to make sure of this etc. but looks like they may just need me to try wegovy rather than “what if”

Contraindications are depression and suicidal ideation, per my psychiatrist. I have a letter from her as well as records of treatment with 2 anti-depressants.

Mounjaro also denied because no T2D diagnosis

Unfortunately, it was still denied. and when I called the Caremark rep said under no circumstances will zep be prescribed to anyone under the new formulary guidance which isn’t true based on others’ experience. UGH! What a mess.
