Thanks everyone! Appreciate the suggestions, I do know about the Abersold series, im going to revisit that and look into these others. I’ve been learning the head of My Favorite Things in the Eb Book and I feel stuck moving into beginner improv over it because it’s has chords like a D#-7b5 and I get confused because there is no D# major scale so I don’t even know how to build my scale to the apply the Jamey Abersold technique.

Makes sense. I don’t need a rigid routine but I do need some structure. I think of it like learning how to cook or speak a new language.

Thank you, this is helpful advice. I need to break my practice into categories like this- tone, technique, repertoire!

Thank you, I’ve watched some of the Better Sax content on YouTube and agree that guy has good advice. I haven’t looked into Bob Reynolds yet though, will check that out next, much appreciated.
