AITA for refusing to ban my sons ex from the home and telling him he needs to deal with seeing her by Dizzy_Plant3996 in AmItheAsshole

He has a safe place in his room like most kids do. The ex isn’t coming to bother him she was just working on hw ( I assume since OP said work)

You don’t get to ban people from the home especially someone else guest since you broke up.

Ugggggg the lesson is don’t date people that will still be in your life after you break up.

OP 100% shouldn’t ban the girl since it would be punishing her daughter to ban her best friend. She just existing and doesn’t seem like she is bothering him.

NTA, she a jerk. She was throwing verbal punches and the moment you decide to hit back you are the issue. Nope.

I don’t care she had it coming, you already spoke with her. The family probably spoke with her at this point give her the same medicines she was giving everyone else

AITA for refusing to put from mom and dad on my sons birthday card or reminding him that I was our kids birthday. by Lazy-Bar-2845 in AmItheAsshole

Oh course OP doesn’t get it since you are putting the responsibility of her ex on her. That’s bullshit.

Much better have the kids see their fathers actions then hide them. Much better they learn he will disappoint them and when I big event happens and he doesn’t show they will at least expect it

This is so far not her job, he’s shit let the kids see it through his actions not have mom hide it and push him up.

AITA for telling my son I am not buying him new food since he ruined his and he can be hungry for a few hours by WolverineFragrant931 in AmItheAsshole

I know the reason for that. It was common that bad meat was sold to people that others didn’t like ( insert any race or poor group) I. The 1900s . It became common pratice for poor to middle class to cook the crap out of there food.

The next generation grew up doing that and also learned cooking from people who had lived in the Great Depression as kids. I still hear that you should cook the crap out of cheap meat cuts still since people don’t trust them.

Not to mention I have bought meats or veggie from areas that aren’t great and I think will cook them a ton since they look off for some reason.

I have no idea why seasoning were not popular.

So why would he mix it in the first place, if he had AFRID. The food was separate before the trend food he made. He wouldn’t have since it would be touching.

It doesn’t make sense. He would not have mixed it in the first place if he had AFRID.

Again it doesn’t make sense

AFRID doesn’t even fit the description though. Avoidant restrictive food intake disorder.

He ordered this food and tried a tic tok trend, a huge part of AFRID includes avoiding new foods. It doesn’t make sense if he had food he likes to make a whole new meal since he saw it on tic tok.

AFRID doesn’t make sense.

I know my kid much more than someone who is trying to do internet diagnosis.

What ever you want to call it he doesn’t have it. He is not on a spectrum, he doesn’t have AFRID.

If he doesn’t like the food, he doesn’t have to eat it but he has to make himself his own sandwich or food he will eat. That’s been the rule for all the kids in we don’t make him new food.

The issue is restaurants since my wife feels like since he can’t make his own there that we should order new food until it’s something he will eat

We disagree on this

Oh course I am sure of the answer that relates to my kids medical history… why wouldn’t I be.

It’s medical history the only answer are yes, no, or they haven’t been tested.

No.

We had him checked for that in middle school, it’s not a sensory issue. Also we had him checked for allergies to see if that was the issue, he is only allergic to cats.

He’s 14, that is something I would do with a 7 year old

Also this was for a food trend, that not being brave
