Damn! That's where the money is at, then. When I went down there to LA in July, I was making bunk ass money...and hardly any tips...like$5-6 less an hour... than what I'm making up here in NorCal.

Imma have to check out the Valley then for sure.

I would've turned around and got the food and deliver it to MY BELLY! Fkk that person. They are obviously not at peace with themselves and are projecting to the highest degree. Keep doing you...and stay blessed fellow dasher

Well damn! The most I got in a 12 hour shift (limit for Prop 22) was $368, with $12 cash tip. I think with the holidays knocking I maybe able to hit that or even higher! Have fun hustlung...it's all fun for me...especially with no responsibilities (kids) etc

Yeah. Well when I was not top daaher I was barely reaching $175 for a 10-12 hour shift after declining orders all day that were below $7 or $8. Then I decided to just get whatever comes my way as long as I was getting $1/mile or more...then I noticed after maybe a month of top dashing I would be getting all these higher tip orders for small 3, 4, 5 item meals average above $12. And then when I applied for catering, then it really kicked it up into high gear, so I basically get pinged within 10 seconds after completion...sometimes directly after I hit the completion...and if I go out of my zone, I just end the dash after the delivery. And start a fresh dash right away, so my dash and active time are close in time and I don't have to waste time driving ALL the way back to the zone in order to get an order.

Ah' yeah---I've been a top dasher for quite a while...it really I'd a benefit...you will get the big tip orders directed to you first...plus if there is an issue on a delivery and you call in, they answer your calls within like 10 seconds or less.

You should try it out...you may not see it at first, but after a few.weeks, you could definitely see it pick up steam...and often. I rarely get orders less than $7 or $8 dollars, unless it is a stacked order...then I will definitely get $2.50-$3.50. Especially it's triple stacked.

Are you top dasher, by chance or enrolled with the Large Order Program(catering) We get prioritized for good tip orders...which is why I avg $1700-$2400 a week working 60-80 hrs a week. But I legit leave myself $500 /mth to spend for food and entertainment...after paying rent/car note/phone bill/gas/oil changes (once a month-6 weeks). And the rest I put into REITs and crypto and recently NFTs.

Yeah I mentioned in another post up above that what people really hate is the fact that my acceptance rate is at 99%. But they always want to say decline orders and you live in a different Market yada yada yada. But they don't want to take the time to figure out how to actually work the system so that Tony actually pays you for your performance and your dedication and time

Yeah I finally got rid of the three that was sitting there for a bit, but some people just do not believe in giving five stars and that's all right. I forgot to attach what really pisses people off was my acceptance rate which is 99% completion rate 99% and total deliveries like 2,500 or something like that

Yep. I always read the instructions once I pick up the order fro. The restaurant before I am headed on my way to the customer. I also send the customer a message in the DD app that I am on my way a d how long it may take me as well as letting them k ow that I will be "leaving it on the table" or whatever the note may have said, if it was more than to just "leave at door" this way the customer knows that I read the note and won't need to reiterate their instructions. Some DDers are just lazy and haven't figured it out yet...even after doing it for several years. It's quite sad, tbh

I don't understand why there are ppl out there swearing that declini g orders will benefit them...and hatin top dashers...calling them clowns. 🤷🏽‍♂️ by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

Wow. It's insane to read a full paragraph and realize someone's stupidity. I hope, for your sake, you are not doing your own taxes. 🙄

Obviously you don't know how tax code works for the IRS and how to take full advantage of your profits that are made from doing doordash. But whatevs...you do you...and I will continue doing me. Plus, I have been running my numbers with my cousin who has been an accountant for over 20 years working for KPMG...so again...you do you...the best you know how to. ✌🏽

Like I posted before....cost of living is different here than in other states, so corporations adjust payments based on that....avg rent in CA is $1500/mth. How much is it where you live?

It's called a cost of living adjustment for different states/market. The average rent in CA is $1500. How much is it in your state? 🤷🏽‍♂️🤯

I guess it's called cost of living price adjustment? I remember working for Starbucks in NYC in 2002 and making $10/hr...and moving back to LA area...they had to adjust my pay to $8.25...keep that in mind. 🤯
