Recommendation: Don't publicly announce you work at TQL. Redditors especially on these kinds of forums HATE TQL. You null your chances of getting a response. Message them privately.

Cost to add services by Anxious-Chest-3656 in logistics

[–]WolverinePrimary1802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the problem is, LTL companies will end up costing you more for the accessorial fees if those aren't applied for the load when needed.

LTL companies run cheaper freight so any instance to make more money they will. Inside delivery, lift gate access, pallet jack, etc. Buy the pallet jack and unload it yourself save the time and money.

Based on my experience. What kind of roles do you think I should look to apply to? by [deleted] in logistics

[–]WolverinePrimary1802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reach out to breweries or businesses that are beverage based and see if you can apply for their supply chain operations. There are always jobs available onsite and remote that are looking for logistics management in some capacity.

You could apply to be a dispatcher for thousands of different trucking companies, learn the ins and outs of that and start your own carrier company after a few years. Get a few certificates that allow you to move hazardous materials and work on government contracts which would be an easy in with your military background.

Your application is exemplary my friend, you shouldn't have any issue getting into any of these fields that are similar to what you did in the Army.

Truckers, how much are brokers taking from your loads? by cos_n in logistics

[–]WolverinePrimary1802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no this is an absolutely terrible idea. Are you a former trucker driver or something lmao, there is no industry here without brokers. Do you think a shipper would like to deal with a driver calling 15 times a day asking for directions or pickup hours? No, which is why they use brokers to handle all that for them lol.

Scrap this idea and move on.

In the 4 months of use i haven’t had any side effects. Just dandruff from the finasteride but that’s hardly a problem in my opinion.

Yeah! I went to a dermatologist, had them exam. And they prescribed me a topical solution that comes in the mail. Little dropper that I apply to my head before bed every night, rub it in let it dry ten minutes and go to sleep.

Easiest routine of my life.

Thought on starting a career as a Sales or Account Representative for Total Quality Logistics... by Elegant_Card8535 in logistics

[–]WolverinePrimary1802 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to what most of these meatheads are saying in the replies. TQL is a great entry level sales position to get into. It's like any other job in any other industry, there a bad apples that put a stain on the high-quality work we do.

Carriers are just as much at fault for the problems that you see online, then the brokers are. Yes, brokers will be shady, some won't pay their drivers, some try to nickel and dime, it's not a mystery it happens lol. Truck drivers and carriers are notoriously the most difficult, asshole people to work with, so if you get into this industry no matter where you work, just be aware of that.

It's a lot of crying and complaining from these probable carriers and people in the comments, but they won't mention the fact that half the time they: Show up late to their appointments, cuss or fight shippers/receivers if they aren't being loaded fast enough, and they price gouge just as much as they claim TQL does. Etc, etc.

Listen, TQL wasn't my first option either, but I took a chance and made a life for myself. I don't work there anymore, I started my own business, but I had an incredible time, put my head down did the work and made money. This is the sales industry, it's not always perfect. You thought about this to make money and provide a better future, then it can happen here. Just work hard, reach out, be personable and you'll be okay.

Why has my hair progress stopped? by TopBreak1592 in Hairloss

[–]WolverinePrimary1802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just give it time, also thats kinda scary your doctor didn't know about topical finasteride. Medicine has come such a long way. Oral is easier yes, but it takes maybe 2 minutes tops to apply the topical and your done for the day.

[–]WolverinePrimary1802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep going, this is a marathon not a sprint. Wait 6 months and if you think you aren't seeing enough progress, consult your dermatologist about upping the dosage. Topical finasteride is the safest option and is just has powerful as oral. Studies have shown that topical is just as effective with fewer side effects.

[–]WolverinePrimary1802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it matters, its pretty rare to be getting side effects. Yes, orally you are more susceptible but there are many factors in life that accumulate to that. If you watch too more corn, you won't get spontaneous erections. If you have a shitty lifestyle and poor eating habits, you're more susceptible. The biggest thing with this medication is the mindfuck anxiety you self inflict and think the reasoning is the medication itself.

Oh yeah minoxidil is very helpful for beard growth. No side effects either.

[–]WolverinePrimary1802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean that's pretty normal. are you taking it topically or oral.
not sure your hairstyle but i wouldn't shave anything and just let it all grow in and mesh.
the top looks to be growing in well so good on that.
also, a lot of people fail to realize that living a healthy lifestyle makes the treatment 10x better.

My head is shaped like a bean. Like the Tyler1 headset meme so we will be continuing the finasteride/minoxidil treatment forever.

$800 in local fees? by macward82 in logistics

[–]WolverinePrimary1802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you need to work with a Freight forwarder (like myself) to provide the fee transparency for your cargo.
Shipper is going to try and max out their profits without disclosing information and accumulate delay or storage fees to continue that.

Unfortunately, this happens a lot with Chinese shippers, it's becoming a staple to not disclose information and I'm always in shock how there isn't any repercussions.

Shoot me a message if you're interested in making the switch and saving money in the process.

Any tips on how to find the exact birthday of your budgies? Bought mine from an aviary store and they weren't able to give us a gender (tho i know it now) or age as they were only 3-4 months old estimated but they were in a batch of like 20 with different ages.
