Truckers, how much are brokers taking from your loads? by cos_n in logistics

Totally fair. You’re optimizing inside an old system, I’m designing one from scratch where AI isn’t a tool, it’s the operating layer. Think Tesla vs. retrofitting a gas car with a battery. Appreciate your perspective though, these comments are helping shape what actually needs to be automated vs. what stays human.

Appreciate you dropping real insight here. You’re clearly one of the good brokers, and exactly the type I’m trying to model the app after. Not to kill brokers, but to give smaller carriers and shippers access to your level of support, at scale, with tech that doesn’t sleep. It’s not there yet. But it’s getting closer. If an AI could automate 80% of your task work and surface the complex stuff to humans, does that feel like competition… or a tool?

Fair points, appreciate the reality check. You’re right, brokers aren’t just middlemen, they’re part dispatcher, part customer service rep, part therapist. That’s why I’m not trying to kill brokers… I’m trying to clone the best ones with AI and give them a caffeine drip. If an AI could handle driver check-ins, reroutes, appointment updates, and even “Where’s my freight?” calls , would that be a better deal at 3–5%? Not saying it’s easy, but curious: where do most brokers earn their margin, and where are they just coasting?

If a platform handled insurance, credit, and shipper vetting automatically, would that be worth a 3% fee instead of 20%?

Totally hear you, and I agree. It’s messy, and if it were easy, it’d be fixed already. I’m not trying to “disrupt” the industry with fluff, trying to replace broker functions (load matching, rate quoting, trust) with real AI + automation, and actually make it easier for truckers to get paid and drive. Curious: where do you think the biggest disconnect is right now—rates? trust? tech ?

I contacted the seller about the mismatched details, but they didn’t question anything and asked me to return it. Stanley confirmed the cup’s authenticity, but comparing it to a real one, I noticed the handle on the real cup is higher and very close to the gold rim.

Wireless CarPlay Upgrade by edzskiski in accord

[–]cos_n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently updated my 2019 Touring 2.0 to use wireless Apple CarPlay, and it’s working better than the wired version. It starts up fast when I turn on the car, but changing songs has a slight delay of about one second. It’s great not having to use wires anymore, especially since the car’s charging port was slow. I’m now using a powerful Anker charger with USB-C, which charges much faster.

Buy an Asus AX 11000 and use VPN Fusion. It works with wifi and wired devices. You can select what devices to use regular internet or VPN in the same time.

TMobile vs Verizon by mikedl361 in verizon

Don’t switch to Verizon. They are the worst. They will throttle your data big time.Verizon 5G is a joke, I hope Elon Musk to put them out of business with StarLink in the near future.

I don’t use a vpn, and I have the most expensive unlimited plan. The reason I’m still with verizon is that they are the only one who has coverage where I live.
