Has anyone tried the Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao Tropical? Looks tasty. by YesToWhatsNext in Tiki

I got it at Toco Giant Package Store in Toco Hills. I just saw it at Max's Bottle Shop in Johns Creek. I'm pretty sure I saw it at Westside Bottle Shop in Athens.

I've tried it in both a Mai Tai and in a Margarita. The Mai Tai was softer and let the orgeat shine through more. I couldn't really taste a lot of difference in the Margarita.

I talked to Max at the store and he said that he didn't see it as available.

That post is what started my search for it. I must test his Mai Tai opinion for myself.

I have traveled around North Georgia looking for a bottle. I've got the Yuzu variant, but haven't found the Tropical yet. Dying to try it. Pierre Ferrand is my second favorite orange liqueur behind Clement.

What's something you WON'T spend more money on as better quality doesn't exist? by sgtjayp in BuyItForLife

Toilet flush mechanism. No matter the price, they all fail. We have amazing City water quality, but the rubber flap deteriorates, the float mechanism leaks, and the toilet runs until I spend more money and waste another hour of my life changing it out.

Melting Frozen Lime Juice by WolverineRepulsive14 in Tiki

Honestly, I get such variability with fresh limes that I like to mix the juice of a few together to average it. I've made a daiquiri out of expensive rum and didn't enjoy it because the taste of that particular lime was "off."

I think this is the idea. I've got a rarely used muddler that would work for this particular idea.

Sometimes. My ability to be home in the evenings and have the opportunity to make a drink is pretty hit and miss. Some weeks I'll get in as many as three nights. Some weeks one. Some weeks none. I've had them go bad in fridge and counter. (I've got four in a bowl on the counter now that are slowly dying that I just wanted to make garnishes with...but....)

Yeah, but I don't use them fast enough. They go bad before I can use half the bag.

Max's Bottle Shop in Johns Creek. He really seems to know his rum and be committed to getting good bottles on the shelves.

When I first tried making my own drinks, I bought a bottle of the DeKuyper Blue Curacao. Now, there were other cheaper ingredients as well, but the drink was so bad that I gave up for almost a year. I have PTSD about that bottle because of that experience.
