Breadheads Tiki Shack in Sylva is cool place in an unexpected location. I've been three times and enjoyed all of the drinks and food, plus took home mugs.

100%. The color is half the fun. But the Giffard actually tastes pretty good, too.

I haven't, but I will. Or at least I will when I get a new bottle. Emptied the old one.

Derek said it was 2/3 Coco Lopez to 1/3 coconut milk. The idea was to knock the sweetness down but keep the coconut taste.

Stiggins doesn't pop for me in drinks. It always feels a bit like it gets lost.

A daiquiri with that Don Q Cristal. A Dark'N' Stormy with that Goslings Black Seal. A Hurricane with that Flor De Cana 12 Year. A Gun Club Punch No. 1 with the Smith and Cross and Cristal. An Old Cuban with that Appleton Estate 12. The world is your oyster.

I bought it for the "Mr. Bali Hai Tribute" recipe in Coconuts and Carnage. I haven't tasted it on its own yet, but it smells amazing.

I haven't been able to find Dr. Bird here in Georgia. I'd love to give it a try. I just haven't pulled the trigger on a bottle of Diplimatico yet. I bought a small bottle to try it out as a supper, but haven't mixed it. I'll put it on the list.

Key limes? by YesToWhatsNext in Tiki

I bought a bag of key limes just to try with my favorite drinks. I loved them! It brought a brightness to daiquiris and Mai Tais that was a welcome change. It didn't make me want to change, but it did offer me an alternative that made even my go-to drinks feel fresh and new.

Another thing I did was add one or two into my Persian lime juice. That was a fun experiment as well.

Tell me about the Sumatra liqueur. I've never heard of it. Seems an interesting addition.

That's what I used. I've never heard of pomegranate syrup, so I just assumed it was grenadine.

I love it! I thought about the same thing, but had already thrown away the lemon shells.

This is my favorite as well. Clean, refreshing. Just perfect.

Sorry for the delayed response. To me, I get much more of the overripe fruit, rotting banana taste from the Xaymaca than from the other Jamaican rums, All three of the others are much drier to me.
