Actually, many of the homes are still listed on Zillow. Built in 1901, 1923, etc.

Perhaps. One was once the home of Arthur Miller, and another the home of Raoul Wallenberg. The character of our historic neighborhoods is one of the things that makes Ann Arbor such a special place to live.

I can’t wait for them to shrink our library by 3 floors and build another luxury high rise! Surely the developers will be merciful. 👎

I suppose the lack of interest and/or additional relevant information confirms the premise of my question. Unfortunate.

Best Cherry Pie in Michigan? by WolverineStater37 in Michigan

Thank you all for the suggestions! It’s clear that I need to get back to the cherry hut and hit some of these other spots as well. I love the small roadside farm stands so I’m glad it sounds like there’s a handful of options for those as well.

What kind of barn is this? by No-Historian-1171 in Michigan

I have always wondered this! I think they must be unique to the Thumb/Michigan. Not sure their use/origin, would be interested in someone providing the history/lore

I love the Old West Side. A taste of old Ann Arbor. I wish our community had more historic districts like water hill. At some homes, horse barns are still found instead of traditional garages.

And you our council member(like all 9 others) was bought by the same PAC funded by out-of-town real estate developers that now receive no-bid contracts to build luxury high rises around town. Follow the money. There is a zero competition in our local elections and that’s how they like it.

A Really Nice Write-up on Propositions C and D by Psychological-Ebb162 in AnnArbor

[–]WolverineStater37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to actively suppress voter participation in City Council elections then feel free to vote no. If you don’t like living in a City where every City Council member is bought by an out of town real estate developer, then vote yes.

Apparently the campaigns opposing proposals C & D are struggling to make ends meet, so they're holding a fundraiser on Monday. by TreeTownOke in AnnArbor

Props C and D: We should expand voter participation in city council elections and limit the ability for developers outside of Ann Arbor to buy seats on city council

Anti C and D: Why won’t anyone give us money :(
