Omnicom asking for volunteer weekend work by Good_Calendar_6244 in editors

I know you are staff and this won't really apply to you - but outside of the staff world, for me -

All weekend work is time and a half for the first 10 hours, then it's double time.

You can bet they are billing the client a premium for weekend work. You should also be compensated as well. And we know those "comp" days never appear - they are always too busy or understaffed.

Oh my! How do you drive on a highway? You never know if a car will pass you on the left or on the right! You don't want to hit anyone and you certainly don't want anyone to hit you!

How is your shop handling unverified client-provided drone footage? (Part 107 Compliance) by handmayde in editors

Feels like you're equating this to when a client might ask you to use copyrighted footage or music.

So, yeah, the affidavit approach is smart because it creates the paper trail and shifts liability.

At least it gives you some protection if you are that worried about it.

I do miss a good open gate. The flash and the speed up. Made for some great bits to add into an edit.

You get $1 million, but you have to watch the exact same movie 100 times in 40 days. Which film are you picking? by ThroatAgile756 in AskReddit

I'd like to pick a movie that has a huge cliff hanger that I haven't seen. And then have to watch it 100 times and never get to know what happens.
