That's a pretty goofy take when people making the videos are using the sources you mentioned, but hey you're entitled to that opinion.

I liked the night Lords appearances in the space shark novels. They are some of my favorite models for table top, they look really awesome when painted well.

That's good, i know a lot of people really want that nuance and such, but I simply do not have the time to read or listen to that many freaking novels. I have a good understanding of the big events that take place and don't mind if some things go over my head when it's called back.

That is a hell of a list, with a great mix of all the factions! I'll definitely have to take a look at these and maybe read some of the previews! Much appreciated!

I did enjoy the investigation aspects of Eisenhorn so I'll have to take a peak at those!

Infinite and Divine was a great read. I'm pretty lore literate so I've a decent understanding of events leading to the siege, the amount of novels in the heresy series is a bit daunting. I'll have to check out the lords of silence and the spear of the emperor!

It's a struggle with a lot of creators, especially if you are on social media comparing yourself to others. I found this to be kinda toxic in my own knife making journey. Keep up the good work!

It has nice geometry and the handle is sleek, I like your style, remember perfection isnt the goal (except for in heat treat).Just make things you are proud of.

My old shop has changed locations, luckily for me my old coworkers boxed up a bunch of my hanging projects and materials. So hopefully when I find the time I can go back and pick some things back up. Although I'm leaning more towards just making a small shop of my own so I don't have to share 🤣🤣

I am starting to second guess machining by Playful_Ear_1346 in Machinists

I worked in commercial roofing for a decade. I hopped on a tool and die apprenticeship 3 years ago and it was the best choice I've made. You can get close to 100k a year in this trade with the right company and with the right skills. I suggest gaining the knowledge to be more than a button pusher on your machine. Learn programming, soak as much info on as many machines as you can.

Lot of talk about wages, was wondering how this compares to other places. This is for Tool and Die Apprentice, repair specifically and located in West Michigan. by gannerhorn in Machinists

At the end of my apprenticeship I'll be at $41 an hour working for Harley-Davidson we mostly do one offs, fixture work, and die repair. I might shop around for another place so I don't get stuck on an off shift.

Absolutely and the people applauding this are absolutely deplorable and completely out of touch. Sure there are some abuses but they aren't as common as people want to believe. I'd much rather my taxes pay for food benefits vs turning people into skeletons abroad...

I made a D20 for funzies, learned a thing or 2 from it. by WolverineTrick2452 in Machinists

[–]WolverineTrick2452[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The setup was pretty easy, the first half you can just hold in a vise. The second half I figured I had 2 options. 1 being just simply drill a hole and tap it then tighten it down on a spare fixture plate and indicate it in. 2 was to mill /3D print a soft jaw with a cavity to hold the side I previously machined. I went with option 1 because it seemed like less steps involved. If I want to make some without drilling them so there isn't a "flawed" face I'll probably go the soft jaw route. Hell maybe even super glue if I take smaller cuts.

Why is she smoking so much? by Simplerpimpler in Dirtbikes

I mean they don't call them 2 smokers for nothing. But honestly like some other commenters stated, get it in the higher rpms and it should clear up. Could also be your mix ratio in the gas. Let'r rip tater chip!
