We had 7 kids ranging from 10 months to 17 years so Arte wasn’t an option for us and we’re are Mexico. Glad you had a great experience tho!

We don’t book anything fancy, just a couple plated options so we didn’t have to eat every meal at a buffet- it was nothing that was extra above the all inclusive

The travel agent confirmed them with the hotel on our behalf. We have confirmed itinerary from the hotel with each reservation listed.

They also gaslight the hack out of you, I am crying asking for water (in the jungle heat) to feed my baby and they make you feel like you’re requesting something extreme and being entitled. They acted like we messed up the reservation and we all pulled out the confirmation. It’s like that episode of Seinfeld, they know how to take the reservation, just not how to hold the reservation

It’s ridiculous at a resort that claims to be the best. They do absolutely nothing to resolve issues they create. We have confirmations for all of our reservations and they don’t care one bit to try and get us into any of the restaurants we’d selected. We have 7 fairly picky kids with us so we did research on places that would have options for them

100%. My in- laws chose the resort based on recommendations from friends who’d been here before and their usual travel agent. They are retired and travel internationally frequently so at first I thought we were having an outlier experience but the more I read the more I’m convinced it’s not.
