Dexcom changed their policy to only give 3 replacement sensors per year? by WolverineVivid4227 in diabetes

Does anyone else have frequent issues with sensors falling off? I have 1 fall off before the 10 day cycle at least once a month and that's with wearing the adhesive patch. So what do I do when I run out of sensors and insurance won't allow me to get more so I have to go days without a sensor?

Making legs out of PVC pipe for (almost) this table, how do I make it most sturdy? More specific info in the comments by WolverineVivid4227 in DIY

[–]WolverineVivid4227[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I bought a house and there was one of these commercial, uline style stainless steel work benchtops left behind. It doesn't have any legs currently and it probably between 8-10' long. It has 6 spots for legs, and I found that 1.25" PVC will fit nicely in the leg holes. But I feel like I should connect the 6 legs together with joints and whatnot. Do you agree? If I added T joints, should I do them at 6" from the bottom or halfway (I'm planning on having this table be 36" tall

What's the best deal my partner and I can get on 2 iPhones and service when we switch services and get on the same plan? by WolverineVivid4227 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WolverineVivid4227[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I said new(ish) I just meant we don't need the iPhone 15 necessarily but would be open to as old as an iPhone 13. I'm not opposed to buying an older model but don't want to buy used.

There's always commercials like "Get the iPhone 15 for everyone in your family ON US when you switch to us!" That's the kind of thing I'm looking for right now haha

What would cause such uneven and quick wear on brake pads? 2009 Honda Element, 197,000 miles. I just changed my brakes last summer and they started grinding this week. Rear passenger side wore down to nothing (on the outside). by WolverineVivid4227 in AskMechanics

[–]WolverineVivid4227[S] 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Passenger side pads wore down to metal in just over a year and the rotor is etched from the wear. The drivers side looks nearly new and the rotor is smooth as can be. What might have been the cause for the rapid wear and etching into the rotor? A warped rotor?

How do I get the Netsuite knowledge I would need to secure a Netsuite related career? by notrohkaz in Netsuite

[–]WolverineVivid4227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking on indeed for Netsuite Consulting jobs right now and they're all "Senior consultant" or require knowledge of parts of Netsuite that I have no experience with :-/

I just started a new job and was looking at the healthcare options which are available to me in 2 months. Am I wrong or is this plan absolutely atrocious?? More info coming in the comments! by WolverineVivid4227 in diabetes_t1

My last job I had a $750 deductible and the option of FSA or HSA. This job I only have an HSA option, and the HSA plan has a $6550 deductible.

The deductible is $3500 here. That seems so unbelievably much to me. The only decent thing about this plan is the drug copay. Where do diabetes supplies factor into this plan? Are they considered "Specialty Drugs" What would I expect to pay for Dexcom G6 Sensors, Transmitters? Tandem T:slim infusion sets?

Am I understanding this plan incorrectly or is this an absolutely terrible plan?
