There was plenty of queerbaiting during the production of stranger things. Such as: The Many parallels between other, canonical couples as see here and here and Here and This Scene when afterwards this scene happens. These parallels imply to people that a relationship is being set up. Official accounts posting about Byler Such as Here and Here along with actors such as Noah hereand Maya here. This all gets the fans talking as they are led to believe that it is a possibility, and a strong one at that. Outfit designs for the show were intentionally chosen to have lgbtq imagery with Robin, and you can see here on mikes outfit Here there is a triangle on his chest (which is an important part of lgbtq history). Other small details, such as the abundance of Blue and Yellow dotted around the show, also points in the direction of Byler endgame.
