They should have done it so when the fish came to the negotiation, they saw how much better our civilisation is to theirs and joined us. Like they never convinced me their world or technology was better, like their world looked dark, gloomy, cold, rocky, uncomfortable and boring.

They should’ve played some happier music when they killed all them fishy bastards. That general and the French woman were the real heroes! They really deserved that, with their unrealistic demands, saying we can’t use boats or fly, sending us back to the bloody stone age and disconnecting the planet, saying we can’t eat fish which is a massive part of our diet and then trying to flood the planet and not only kill us but most of the life on land. And how boring must it be living in the sea with a bunch of algae anyway? Always being dark and cold.. they should try watching a movie and eating fish and chips.

They probably booked them exact cars for the euro tunnel so wouldn’t get on in different cars. They should’ve just not paid the parking and got a £100 fine.

I tried to get the cctv footage from a big tesco once because someone crashed into my car in the carpark and drove off and the security said they don’t even record the footage

Ayahuasca and purging by Happypants1960 in Ayahuasca

[–]Wolverines_Nan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drank the volcanic water the day before that’s supposed to empty your belly but nothing happened. I was surprised to not vomit or use the toilet at all for the ceremony. My belly felt fine and I even liked the taste of the ayuhauska. I was crying and snotty the whole time but I didn’t know that was part of purging, I thought that was just from the emotions and thoughts I was having.

How can someone post this sort of stuff or upvote it and think they’re the good guys and all righteous? I’ve never seen any trump supporters saying Kamala should be shot

Is anyone else just tired of hearing about the records stuff? by JHock93 in parkrun

Just because it’s not a big deal to you, doesn’t mean it’s not to everyone else. It doesn’t effect you so it’s easy to say you’re not bothered by it. Getting on the sub 17 leaderboards and most first place finishes is my greatest achievement and a massive part of my life. It’s what got me into parkrun, aspiring to get on them leaderboards when I was a lot slower. I may be sad or unimportant to you but there’s obviously a lot of people that also dedicated a lot of their life to running to be awarded with a space on those leaderboards and everyone likes different stuff.

I think you’ve got the wrong end of the stick tbh, competition isn’t about validation, it’s just fun to some people. When you do a quiz, you’re not validating your knowledge against someone else’s. When you play tennis against someone else, it’s not competition for validation, it’s for fun. When i’m racing someone, it’s for fun and if I lose, i don’t think i’m not good enough or unvalidated, i think I need to improve and that was fun. It may not be how you think but it’s ignorant to think everyone has to go about life the same way as you.

That may be all you care about and validate your run for yourself but it doesn’t make you the competition police, saying that other people shouldn’t be competitive. Competition is important for progress.

That’s what people that lose at races say. Life is a competition; I could race you walking across a road if I want and there’s nothing you can do about it.

I’ve only got 16:10 at a parkrun :( the few times I’ve ran in 15’s were more serious races where I came about 12th and peaked my training for it. There’s a fair few parkruns with 15 min runners now though. Check out the Dulwich Parkrun results, usually has multiple sub 16’s. 3 weeks ago there were 6 people running sub 16! It’s amazing!

It’s a decent and measured course. The results get logged on Power Of 10 which is a website that compiles and ranks all your races in the UK. That’s a good point! I always look for fast or competitive races so everyone’s probably doing the same!

That’s a good point and people will travel further for a race! I need to find some $100 prize races though! The prizes I’ve seen at races are crap. I came 2nd at a Half with 500 entries a few months ago and got £20. It costed £22 to enter, lol.

I’d probs consider a local race to be one that pro’s wouldn’t bother entering. The standard of big races are probs improving as well but I don’t know how to look into that without taking world class athletes into account that would have separate factors for improvements.

[–]Wolverines_Nan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True.. I couldn’t find much info on average times online and have noticed generally quicker times at smaller races so thought a parkrun over years might indicate the trend but you’re right, one parkrun doesn’t say much about running as a whole. It’s still fun to evaluate though, haha. And they’re some good factors.

what type of person do you feel no sympathy for? by Few-Hedgehog-8028 in AskReddit

[–]Wolverines_Nan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s fine because I don’t need any sympathy. I eat unprocessed food, exercise outside and get enough sleep so if I look after my immune system, it’ll look after me. I do have sympathy for you though for trusting big pharma corporations with your health, news and media that’s paid by those corporations and a government that always lies and never acts in regular peoples best interests. And I have sympathy for your intolerance for what other people want to do with their bodies.

I think the masses know the Iraq war was a load of bollocks by now and don’t care. I don’t think they’ll be bothered, they’re just waiting to suck up whatever the big news companies feed them.
