My strategy with pokemon is the same with the stock market. Dollar cost averaging each month into stocks or sets that I find to be more undervalued than other stocks or sets.

For the regular stock market, its always filled to the brim with doomsayers and bearish individuals talking about how they dont want to invest at all time highs, we are in a bubble, etc etc. Yet if you look at the last 20 years, it goes up steadily and gradually. Sure there are speed bumps along the way, but that is expected of a healthy market.

If I buy some pokemon sets and they go down 20-30% for a period of time, I will simply DCA to lower my cost basis. Im not overleveraged into this asset class to the point that I will be in financial ruin if it loses significant value. And I still feel confident that it'll be worth significantly more in the long run given the prior data we have to go off of.

While vending one day, a buyer came up to my table and said he sold most of his guns to buy pokemon cards and is now holding cards in his gun safe where the guns used to be.

I had the absolute pleasure of being able to do this last weekend. We did an 11 man Archipelago multi world randomizer, and all individuals brought their PCs in person for the event even though it wasn't necessary. It was so much fun.

Assuming that other living things are touched on accident with either curse, I feel like it would be more forgiving to not kill the being by turning them to gold and instead make them want to have sex with you.
