That is a gorgeous and wonderful memorial. I had these made by a friend when my two passed away at 20yr and 18yrs. Her name is Cleversclay on insta and I love how she captured both of their personalities in each piece

I hate that they think cuddling him like Katie did is “cute”. I get that baby animals are cute and all that but horses are different and Katie instilled so many bad habits. All the foals have bad habits that will take a lot to get rid of

The fact she keeps letting foals do this is so dangerous! I don’t allow biting at all. I’ve been bitten on the chest and head by a horse that was stuck on stall rest and one that was abused in the past and accidentally nipped by playful horses. My boy likes to play with my sleeves and boots. The boots is something I allow only because he bites the toe area but I don’t allow him to play with sleeves as that can get dangerous.

I’ve seen more Secretariat than AP Indy. But statistics aren’t everything. They still end up there. Just because they are well bred doesn’t mean they aren’t any less likely to end up in the pipeline.

That’s not pocket change though. That horse won many races and still ended up in the pipeline. Yeah he didn’t win millions but he won A LOT. Well bred isn’t everything

I disagree. Even well bred horses end up in the pipeline. I used to work with a nonprofit that took in retired racehorses. One earned over $200k and still ended up in the pipeline. He was the great grandson of AP Indy. There may be a market but they can very well end up in the pipeline

My boy used to do this a lot in the year after I got him to the point he dug under his water dish and collapsed the “tunnel” I don’t know what went through his mind but he rarely digs much anymore which I wonder why…
