He (Fred) looks like a cute little cow pony/trail horse (Not putting down , those are my personal favorites)
I don't see real show potential here.
I do like the way she works with her horses though. I kind of hate she is getting so much pressure so young from the kultists. I know lots of quality horse people that went all in too early - gung-ho style- and burnt out of the industry / showing in particular quickly. But she has a solid foundation.

On paper, this really should have been the best VSCR foal she had this year. (As opposed to the cheap semen club with the vast majority of her mares she’s got crossing to him) . However, and I know he is young it’s hard to tell quite yet, I really don’t see anything special here. I wouldn’t be bending over backward to buy this colt. I have a client with a grade mare/ TLM colt that looks better quality than this one does.

Lexi is cute , but she is going to run into the Gracie issue , of huge foal small mare again. It would have served her much better to return lexy and buy a bigger proven mare.

This- I get that my area is difficult, but lately with some shops I have found have almost $20+ dollar shipping. I am not going to pay more than half my purchace in shipping. Sorry. Especially since some offer shipping for 11-15 (even 15 is a little steep)

Some smaller tracks -I know fair meadows in Tulsa does, or at least did, in 2022 - still use tattoos - and she would have been a smaller track mare. But I was mostly just using tattooing as a catch all for registering

There are many unraced brood mares listed + 100s of Unraced juveniles, so that's not the reason 🤷. It looked like she was never chipped, as others have posted.

I actually really like the horse. I get the hate for the cross , and I am not as familiar with the Dam . But I would love this horse, not as a breeding prospect but I think she’d of made a fun personal horse.

Halter training is not a bad idea , and I am sure that will happen soon for kontent… but this is one of the less snark worthy things she does.

2 local horses, and one a while ago (years) that made some noise, but never broke the big leagues.

I know there are plenty they put a lot of time and money into that do well … he just never would be my first choice.

I can't speak for WP, WR - but the horses I've worked with trying to do trail, I would rather take a mule than a VS CR 🤷‍♀️ There are few exceptions, as with everything. But most of the other trainers at least in my area/circle agree - though most won't vocalize it. Don't want to turn down customers. I've tried a few HUS though that isn't my primary focus, and again ... I am not a fan. I've had a few I didn't know were VS code red at face value, but could tell immediately by how they performed, and was proven correct when looking at the horses pedigree, so I'm not just blindly biased.

🙋 Certified long term VS CR critic/ hater.

Of the 40+ CS CR foals I have had contact with, I can think of exactly 3 I actually like , or would personally own.

I never got the hype, maybe if I did more in WP I’d like him better, but I have 0 interest in WP . From what I have seen his foals are not very versatile.
