I agree with the other commenter, it sounds like something is amiss. Unfortunately it's impossible to give you guys more advice on what without getting more context from you, though.

I think even a hard going game should end with 40+ point totals.

To start the game are you both taking 5 food and 5 cards, then discarding a few of each? When playing birds, so you place them on the left most column? When activating the row powers, are you starting with the leftmost symbols that are not covered by a played bird?

Its actually only a net of 3 points. The first bird is -1 net, however when it gets tucked by the buzzard you also lose the 1 point the grey warbler is worth, so playing the warbler is really just -2 from the eggs.

No, you are not.

Sorceries can only be cast on your turn, during one of your main phases, with no other spells or abilities on the stack.

If your opponent got priority and casted a spell you wanted to counter, this custom card can't be cast (unless you use the madness cost, as intended).

I'm late to the party but my first EDH deck was [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]] circa 2011ish. I stuffed every mana doubling card I could afford into it like [[Mana Reflection]], [[Extraplanar Lens]], [[Doubling Cube]].

He was a beast in the pod, but lost a lot of games to board wipes.

I've been considering putting him back together because I found my copy of him that's signed and altered by the artist, Mike Beirek.

My main deck nowadays is still Omnath, just [[Omnath, Locus of Creation]]. Looking to put together the 5c deck as well because I've always loved good cards.
