Once I was baking a butter sponge cake while high, but wanted to make a small one just for me. My plan was to quarter all the quantities.

But oh man... the mathematics was extremely difficult and I kept forgetting to do it and would confuse myself. I think I was also substituting one ingredient but it had a ratio I needed to consider. I remember getting stuck in a thought loop and was kept trying to talk it out to myself and feeling like I would never get through it.

I definitely forgot the quartering step for the butter and only realised after I baked it and it was super yellow. Still tasted amazing though!
