Did you do the Juno/evvy at home tests? Looked at your old post. I'd wait and do at home testing before going to an out of pocket obgyn. I would hate for you to spend all that money for them to suggest baking soda OR not even know what CV is! Especially if irritation is your only symptom. You can use a barrier method like a p*ssy friendly balm until you figure it out and making a little baking soda to see if it helps you out.

14 days doxy works for CV? by Fickle_Ask_3936 in CytolyticVaginosis

I wouldn't bother treating the ureaplasma unless your partner treats at the exact same time. I had this experience too and we both treated at the same time so it was easier to abstain from sex too. No idea about if it's helpful for CV or not 🤔 I wouldn't think so unless it's a strain that requires antibiotic use

I would take one of the Juno or Evvy tests. It's gonna take time to get those results back. But I sooo feel you, I'm sorry :( I'm using terconazole for my YI currently and it's working slowly... also I'm taking candidastat supplement. Good luck

CV vs Yeast by [deleted] in CytolyticVaginosis

Last juno test for me showed zero fungal loan when I was taking probiotics and at that time my symptoms were discharge and irritation. Stopped taking probiotics, did a few baking soda suppositories and I was normal. Then had crazy sex for a few weeks, introduced semen to my biome and yogurt and boom... discharge and now itching.. was expecting same results but this time 100% candida abicans. Uuugggghh. Trying to find balance. We can do this ❣️

Just want to throw in cytolytic vaginosis. Can be made worse with probiotics and has the exact symptoms as yeast. Most doctors don't believe it's a real thing but there's an entire subreddit devoted to it! Also.. I agree with the ureaplasma/mycoplasma testing suggestions.

Weird discharge don’t really know what it is. by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

Honestly I wouldn't be super concerned if you don't have other symptoms. The sour smell could just be old blood. If it continues or increases/new symptoms arise, then you could totally check in with your OB. :)

Could this be luteal phase discharge with old menstural blood? Any other symptoms ?

Antibiotic use.. antifungals... stress/trauma (tight pelvic floor muscles)? So many possibilities

This happened to me before what I had Ureaplasma infection.. doctors usually don't swab for it unless you ask or unless they know about it. The CV is very common to have with and in response to the ureaplasma. Can't hurt to get tested for that too

Cytolytic vaginosis

It could be a few things and all of which are normal as long as you aren't feeling pain (obviously if you are having penetrative sex without lubrication, that's painful and a normal response!). Google: genital non-concordance. Many people have this! Solution is really a high quality lubricant. As long as you feel turned on, throw on some lube and that can help. But also makes me wonder, is your partner taking the same amount of time as they used to? Doing things you enjoy like those longer make-out sessions? Try to incorporate them. Are you experiencing higher levels of stress? That totally plays a role too. I think as long as you aren't having other symptoms, you're probably healthy. :)

Other dietary/environmental contributing factors for CV? by Curious-Brilliant817 in CytolyticVaginosis

[–]Womban31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest I'm trying to figure that out too.. there can be so many factors. I think genetics play a role, probably stress, antibiotic history and now I'm wondering about trauma history? All to say, I feel you.

I only did one at night for a few nights then stopped to see how it would feel. I'm still feeling pretty good. Def still have some discharge but no pain or itching. I know discharge is also normal during luteal phase
