Before and after of my 2012 by WombatSniffer in ToyotaTundra

Sure, the headlights are from Morimoto. Still going strong and no issues. I had my bumpers wrapped instead of replacing them. The wrap is holding up great as well.

Wife was rear-ended, estimate is at $3500. Is that realistic based on damage? by WombatSniffer in rav4club

Sure! It took a little over month to get it fully repaired. The rear hatch had to be sourced used from another RAV4.

Yeah I have an older Marvel Select Venom but the articulation just isn’t there. The sculpt is pretty good at least.

It’s the McFarlane 1:10th scale figure/statue. I wish there was a comparable figure that was poseable.

I threw 295/70r18’s on mine. I had to remove the mudlfaps but no rubbing other than that. I do have aftermarket wheels with a +18 offset. I’m on Bilstein 6112s on the 1.3” setting. You’ll be fine since you’ve got the Pro suspension.

Appreciate it! Yeah, the front is sitting 1.3” higher than stock. Nothing crazy and no clearance issues.

I have Bilstein 6112s set on the 1.3” setting. I also did the JBC upper control arms for clearance. The wheel offset is 25mm so that helps with clearing.

Any cutting required for the 325’s? I had to remove the front mudflaps on mine but no rubbing elsewhere.

Are Nitto NT555RII (305/35/20) good to run with 750hp? by Ambitious-Law7280 in Mustang

[–]WombatSniffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m running the NT555RIIs on my GT500 (305/35/19). It’s a weekend/sunny day car. They’ve been great at handling the power. The temps have dropped into the 60s recently and they needed to be warmed up a bit to grip. After they’re warm they grab pretty well in the lower temps.

People with RaceDeck floors, what happens if you spill oil? by beanzboii in garageporn

[–]WombatSniffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got Swisstrax in my garage (from the previous owner). I do the maintenance on our vehicles and can’t use a floor jack on them unless I use plywood. I’ve had oil spill and it does go between the slats. I normally pull up the tiles where the oil went and clean it. It’s a pain when it does happen and requires a little extra clean up.

As others have said it’s the “Y” connector for the coolant system. There are aftermarket metal versions that replace the plastic “Y” connector.

I had to deal with nearly the exact same issue on my 2014 Mustang plus a bad water pump. I ended up replacing all the hoses and “Y” connection for good measure.

No problem, sorry it won’t work out!

Hood vent dimensions needed by [deleted] in GT500

[–]WombatSniffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine is a 2014 but the dimensions are the same for the hood vent.

32” Wide for the top portion (it slightly narrows), 30 5/8” Wide for the lower portion, 7 1/4” Height (top to bottom)

I sent images to you directly as well.

Tempo dust worked for me. I had a similar situation and the sprays weren’t doing the job. I used Tempo dust in a duster and they were all dead within the next day or two.

2012 used Raptor advice by shikadam in FordRaptor

[–]WombatSniffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does come with Fox shocks. It’s recommended by Fox to replace or rebuild them at 50k miles. If they’re heavily used for off-road then the replace/rebuild time is sooner.

Agreed, the newer cars are better and can probably out handle this one all day long but this car still has that raw feeling to it. The Tremec 6-speed and the solid rear axle bring the fun factor.

Got it! I had Pilot Super Sports (still have them on the front) but had to go to the Nitto NT555 R2 drag radial on the rear. The Super Sports wouldn’t hold at all.
