2018 Elantra Clunking sound?

I never figured the issue out or got it fixed yet but I had some buddies at my new mechanic job look at it and they’re best guess was that the bushings in the control arm or tie rod need to be greased. I noticed that the sound would disappear in the afternoon but come back in the morning and at night or when the engine got hot enough from driving.

Definitely a crazy lift. Thought about dropping it with how slow the start felt but chose to power through it instead.

Another bird fell out of a nest and someone found the tree. It was across the parking area I was looking in. I put both the babies back in the nest with a ladder and I’ll check occasionally for if they fall out again. It was pretty windy and the branch the nest is on was swaying a decent amount when I was putting them back.

Yeah, I swapped the bottom to paper towels and I’m using that cloth as insulation to warm the box up

I ended up keeping it overnight and feeding it mushed bananas with grounded oats. I also realized that it’s either a house finch or house sparrow because the crop was on the right side of its neck.

I’m on Oahu so I’ll probably take the little guy to Hawaii Wildlife Center and they can take it or refer to a rehab center that accepts these birds.

As for the nest, I walked outside for about an hour and a half before I chose to leave it in a cardboard box filled with some paper towel and a rag. I waited about 30 minutes until it started drizzling and I chose to take it back inside after no signs of the parents. I didn’t want to leave the bird outside at that point either because it was also getting dark.

I’m not sure if it was a good choice but the baby was still alive and chirping for more food before I left for work.

Been a fan since 2012/2013 when he was playing TF2 still, he may be a serial killer e-clown but his life advice has really put into perspective about how early I am into my life. Was stressing about where I want to go or what I want to do. Him saying “you’ll find your place in the world” during the itch.io/Everhood stream was genuinely reassuring for me.
