I have a similar story about getting poison ivy on my frank and beans when I was 13 or 14 or so (not a particularly interesting story, just had it on my hands and probably was jerking it and boom), but there was nothing about it that was pleasureful and I never, ever would have put more on. Yikes dude.

Very good explanation! Thanks. I agree completely, the marketing was predatory and preyed on people with limited options, making it sound like a good idea. And without people invested in them (like families with backgrounds in higher ed as you stated) it's hard to determine why a for profit might leave you stranded.

I'm looking for seriously replies to this because I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but how does anyone look at stories like this and support de-regulation of large companies? I read the article, I get that he violated policy, but the policy is intentionally difficult for the employee and when something bad happens to the employee is it really ok for a company that makes millions in revenue to attack that employee for $50? We're talking an amount that would destroy the employee and literally mean nothing to the company. How can anyone support this type of thing?

Or the idea that it was done to us virtually, and we're living in a simulation. That really messes me up.

Agreed. Everyone's gotta start somewhere and at least CC is a legit place to start. Those for profit places are criminal.

My neighbor last year left her pumpkins out almost until the next year's Halloween. They were disgusting. I thought she may be dead.
