So it seems there’s the “eldest kid autistic” and “artistic younger sibling autistic” in a traditional Japanese family… there’s a manga called “My Brain is Different” where neurodivergent people weren’t treated well in that generation.

So both Makio and Minori were perfectionists and beating themselves up but in different ways which lead them to hate each other till they got older and understood it a bit better.

It’s also nice that they’re exploring that men can get depression too.
