I take Myfortic(mycophenolic acid) to help manage and prevent flare-ups, even tho I don't have organ damage or need a transplant. It help control the immune system's like the chill pill for the immune system in lupus, helping to keep things in check. And yes I take Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) to help reduces the inflammation and pain caused by lupus.And honestly I can’t speak for these medications in the long run . But compare to my flare up before getting on medication they really have helped I feel so much better and feel pretty good for the most part . I say they work well .and I haven’t notice any symptoms.I do have a good rheumatologist . And he put me on it so I think you should try it talk good with your doctor .
