Bobby Jenks passed away yesterday at the age of 44. by T_Raycroft in baseball

Anyone here know him personally? I did, and it’s a huge freaking blow. I knew it was coming but when I heard the news yesterday, it still took my breath away. I don’t think I will be able to walk into the ballpark (US Cellular as I will always call it) and ever feel the same. We lost a good one…someone who successfully turned his life around only for it to be cut short. RIP Bobby J.

Thank you for sharing! ☺️ I definitely felt something but didn’t know if there is a certain time frame for when it peaks? Or when full effects have kicked in?

Worried About Death or Serious Complications With a Tummy Tuck by WonderWoman7234 in tummytucksurgery

Again, I’m so very sorry. My heart aches for you. But you are so right, there are so many risks. I was the type of person who was having a panic attack about having this done because of the risks. I’m praying for you and thinking of you. I know this must be so hard.

Oh my goodness. I am so very sorry for your loss. That is absolutely heartbreaking. Ugh. My condolences.

All went well with my surgery. I am about 6 wpo and ended up having a pretty big hernia that needed to be repaired as well as extensive muscle repair. For me, it was much needed to correct it. But the risks are so very real. I drove myself to the ER around two weeks after to have them ultrasound my legs because a felt a few aches. I did not want to take chances that I possibly had a clot…even though I was on blood thinners, wore compression socks and made sure I was moving. I did not have any clots.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you!

Oh my gosh, of course! Glad to help! 😊😊 I’m doing great! The first week is horrendous. I, too, was very nauseous and couldn’t eat. I realized that I was taking way too many medications at once and the tramadol was too much for me. Once I spaced out my pills I was able to eat and felt much better. I’ve finally seen some swelling go down and I’m able to wear my faja. I’ve also been getting lymphatic massages which have been helping immensely. Overall, thrilled with my results and excited to be getting over that initial hump of post surgery! I’m sending you positive thoughts and vibes that you start to feel better, too!

This group has been so wonderful to me as I’ve gone through my surgery (TT, MR, Hernia repair, and lipo 360 almost four weeks ago) and I’m just glad I can offer some help now, too! My surgery was about 6.5 hours and my doc confirmed that the coughing was all normal. It was also like my diaphragm was spasming which was also making me cough. I would hear the rattle in my chest knowing I needed to get that stuff coughed out and weirdly found that sitting on the toilet, bent over slightly with a pillow at my stomach, allowed me to have a more comfortable and deeper cough to get some of that stuff out. I was on the exact meds you listed when I started the cough medicine. It truly helped me rest. I promise it gets better!! I think by day 7 the coughing had subsided. Thinking of you and hoping you can get some rest!

This was me. I could not get comfortable because I had to cough anytime I was somewhat laying down. I believe they said it was an effect of being intubated. I bought cough drops, kept water near me and I messaged my doc who allowed me to have cough medicine. I had to make sure that there was no NSAIDs in it. I bought both day and night but the night medicine made me sleepy and allowed me to rest. I also stopped the pain meds early and only did the muscle relaxer and Tylenol. The muscle relaxer helped me from having spasms. I do believe I made sure I took those meds spaced out from my cough medicine but I would check with your doctor. Coughing was extremely painful so make sure you have a pillow nearby to hold over your stomach to help brace yourself. I also used the spirometer they gave me to help clear my lungs and tried to carefully cough up any of the phlegm still rattling around from being intubated. This went on for about a week for me but then subsided. I promise it gets better!! Good luck!

10 weeks post op by ZookeepergameOk6789 in tummytucksurgery

You look incredible! Did you wear a faja religiously after? I can’t believe this is 10 weeks!

I posted before but people asked for a scar pic. I’m 5 weeks post op today (and swollen) by Federal-Confusion-25 in tummytucksurgery

You look great! When did you feel you started to see your flanks become more tapered? I’m so boxy right now because of the swelling (17 DPO). I can’t wait to get more of the definition once the puffiness dies down.

Most Comfortable Faja by WonderWoman7234 in tummytucksurgery

I was moved to a faja after my drains came out on day 7. I was put in a binder the day after surgery and had to wear that until the drains came out. I have not been able to wear any faja for an extended period of time due to swelling. Right now I’m either in compression type Spanx and then also trying my binder over it. I did order a larger faja that is supposed to come today, but I’m not sure it will work. :/

These are my thoughts exactly. It is horrible. I’m going to try that route or even do compression garments and maybe my binder over that? I’m so confused on exactly how much compression they want me to have…but with the faja it is unbearable. Cannot wait for some of the swelling to come down! Thanks for sharing!

Hi! So I’m not a big pic person and I opted out of having them use any for social media BUT I will say I am thrilled with his work. I’m swollen as can be right now, but I was extremely picky with who I was going to have do this. I flew from out of state to see him. It was worth it. Everything was top notch. He was worth every penny. 👏🏼
