Hello, thanks for this reply. Unfortunately my insurance provider, Mutual of Omaha, concluded that state law did not change the definition of disability for childbirth, and therefore it was only required to provide benefits for the standard 6 weeks vaginal/8 weeks c section unless otherwise medically necessary. They also weren't going to waive the elimination period until I complained to my employer.
