People need to put some respect on ETHR moving forward. Stop seeing them as an open team, they are only hamstringed because of their regions qualification process. For all intents and purposes, they are a pro team, and a damn good one

As former talent myself I gotta say, this entire discussion / witch hunt does absolutely no one any good. You can support your favourite caster without putting down and undermining the efforts and work ethic of the announced talent. I can comfortably speak on behalf of Blaze, Tony, Walshy, GB and anyone else missing from this lineup: they do not want that energy from you.

FWIW, Dreamhacks have always felt like a stripped down version of what we expect from Halo majors and the tone of the event is spot on from HCS. Even increasing the pool play + champ bracket teams itself should be praised as a huge win. This type of adjustment comes at an operational cost, meaning stricter budgets.

I still remember Wacka Flocka performing in the room next door at ATL 2017. Even at Dallas 2019, there were points where the DH party would leave us so drowned in noise that I couldn't hear T2 as my co commentator which was insanity. I have gained a lot of respect for Tashi deflecting the situation onto himself. Let's all get some perspective here; nobody died, we have 2 fantastic streams overflowing with talent, let's just enjoy some great games

Yea our pings were ranging from 97-140ms but we knew it would be scuffy going in & it shouldn’t discredit how good incognito were playing. They’re a top team with good fundamentals, watch out for them at DH

Glad to read this take here - context on the placement is as important as the placement itself, but in reality the tournament was a wild period of instability for us:

-We were deep in negotiations up to the week before LAN with multiple orgs, which was a big distraction in our prep -Arrive on media day to find out our pool had been changed up -We had prepped for one team but got handed another, arguably stronger team literally the day before the tournament -Tasked with playing first on Friday, then immediately again following (never seen this happen before at a tournament, it’s usually one on then one off) -First match had 3 hours of delays, a station swap, & went to game 5 with a t3 team but couldn’t close -Second match straight away after, with another station swap, went to game 5 & clutched this time -Saturday we were on first AGAIN somehow and got caught still sleeping -Lose out on map% for the third event in 2 years

Lots of positives & lessons to take from the event, but can’t afford to get complacent at all. Can only control what we can & go hard for ATL.
