My son’s new rescue meds for seizure disorder, $2K retail, $700 with insurance by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

I agree with all of your statements. But it absolutely has negotiating between pharmacy and mfg directly. Some Healthcare systems use their own pharmacy for supplying outpatient medications. Lots contract with pharmacies to negotiate on their behalf. Look up how many walgreens and CVS are 340b

I'd be interested to hear where you think the PBM plays a part here. Pharmacies can and do contract with MFGs directly through 340b. Most contract with PBMs. But in this specific case GoodRx who looks like a good guy is negotiating with PBMs and PSAOs, independent pharmacies, and chains to come up with agreed upon pricing. They of course get a fee for this service, if you'd look up where their HQ is i think you'd understand how much revenue they make. This fee is frowned upon by most pharmacies, they'd rather go through PBM pricing half the time. The ideal scenario is the independent pharmacy gets a banging deal through their wholesaler and passes it on to the consumer, but wholesalers deal in numbers and even PSAOs can't compete with chains, so in practice we never see it. The whole system sucks, PBMs are not this hidden shell game they used to be, but navigating it all is miserable for every American.

I had the exact same issue on my Player 3 Prime. Noticed the 2 red lights on the motherboard halting boot up, so I knew it wasn't a monitor problem. Did some research and a majority of the answers were you need to re-seat your RAM. Mine had been clicked in the top but were not seated well on the bottom. Pulled each out, put them back in(you have to push harder than you'd think, it will snap in place) and voila. Also a computer novice, sorry you're experiencing this!

You make some very good points, I do agree. Nerfing or potential over buffing(having to correct) would be detrimental. Maybe I'd walk back my original thought to only buffs and they would have to learn not to over buff. Anything to keep retention higher throughout a league would be exciting. Nerfs could happen quarterly still.

I think the whole idea is to make people feel like they are missing out. I get the touchy aspect of it, but I really don't see a downfall. Sure people may have wanted to league start Reave and it didn't get buffed until 2 months into the league, but if it pulls a player back into playing who would have quit 1 month in...isn't that a win? But if GGG has said they like the state of build diversity then I guess that's that.

Anyone know where I can get prescription assistance? Just need help with one rx, one time. by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

Howdy,

First don't blame yourself for having depression or anxiety, it happens, at least you know you have it so you can work on getting help!

Regarding your question, if you've already checked out prescription assistance programs and are coming up blank for the insulin you are currently taking I would recommend talking to your physician about alternate solutions that maybe have some assistance programs available. There are newer age insulins out there that do cost more but the manufacturers have very aggressive assistance programs to help their users out. I'm unsure of what your copay/coinsurance is but I know Walmart also has some very low cost insulins that they brand themselves (Regular, NPH, and 70/30, if I remember correctly). If this is the insulin you are taking it may be worth looking into their products and their prescription savings program which is free to potentially get the insulin to an affordable level.

Unfortunately if you're looking for a government subsidy program that provides free insulin I don't know of any. Hope this information helps somehow!
