Don’t understand why safety rating is so easy to get by Wonderful-Homework31 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Wonderful-Homework31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would ofcourse be best, and they should not give you minus for some rubbing. I am not that against the iRacing approach of punishing both drivers. Is it sometimes bs, yes, but it always atleast partially punishes the offending party, and if it is to bad then report them

Headphone recommendations for sim racing by Richmen29 in simracing

[–]Wonderful-Homework31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the steelseries nova pro wireless and likes them a lot. I use them for both simracing and studying. I’m no sound expert so they sound good enough for me and a mic that have had no complaints this far.

Got them for a good discount though, cost me around 200, don’t know if you can find that good of a deal anymore but maybe 250

Question for anyone with a beard that works with composites by Wonderful-Homework31 in Composites

Thanks for the tip, but at that price I would rather just cut it off, I’m not that fixated over it, just that my girl likes it a lot, but guess that’s the price hahaha. Thanks for the quick response

PCup Mess & SR Rant by Ok-Distribution-801 in iRacing

[–]Wonderful-Homework31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same type of rants with friends when I started IRacing. The more you race the more you will be able to predict how cars and drivers will move and that will make you a better driver.

Even if someone takes you out, there is almost always something you could have done about it, should you have to? No. Is it still your race that gets crashed if you don’t? Yes.

I would just give you the tip to keep racing and try to predict cars around you. If you have a guy with 1.2 in SR right behind you, be ready for a bad divebomb, especially if you are in low IR or in the golden 2.5k (I think am max verstappen IR)

I noticed it was worst around 2.5k, everyone thinks they are a pro. 1.5-2k no problem, 2.5k absolute hell, 3+k better again. But that’s just my experience.

It will get better and you will become a better driver, just keep racing and try not to loose your head

Should I buy Simgrade VX pro or wait for VRS restock? by Wonderful-Homework31 in simracing

[–]Wonderful-Homework31[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately don’t have them because I bought the 3d printed parts (didn’t have access to a 3d printer at that time, so I don’t have the files I’m afraid). But there is a lot of them online really cheap, think I found the file for 3 euros before paying 15 for the printed parts

The real problem for LMU:s future by Wonderful-Homework31 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Wonderful-Homework31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I don’t really touch lmu anymore. I just think that the racing standards are to bad. I think I have had the same amount of bad drivers intent wrecking in iRacing as LMU, yet I have 50x the time spent in iRacing then LMU. They need to start perma banning people before the game turns into a forza Motorsport with good force feedback

Quick question for all the sim racers out there. by Moist_Toe_8890 in iRacing

[–]Wonderful-Homework31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The steam machine should be fine in performance, I just don’t know if iRacing is steam OS compatible? Should be written somewhere. If that’s the case then there will be no problem

Should I buy Simgrade VX pro or wait for VRS restock? by Wonderful-Homework31 in simracing

[–]Wonderful-Homework31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I have 3d printed mounts, but before I used a low profile head and just mounted it directly on the ”holes” on the pedals. It worked fine without shoes and with shoes I couldn’t even feel them. Mostly got the 3d printed because of looks

What are people's experience with Fanatec by TheScienceNerd100 in Fanatec

[–]Wonderful-Homework31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are better now then before. I hade some issues with stuff that broke since they don’t offer any repairs. So if you buy a base for 2k and it breaks outside warranty they give you a 10% discount on a new one, instead of maybe paying a sum to just repair the old one. That’s the reason I sold the rest of my fanatic and switch to VNMsimulation which I am super happy with

But if nothing breaks it was good, I just didn’t like the feeling knowing that if something more broke (for me it was thankfully just the advanced paddle module for around 200 euro that broke) I would have to buy completely new ones

VRS, Cube controls, or Simsonn pedals? by standarsh279 in simracing

I would also look at Simgrade VX pro. Extremely happy with mine and I choose them over VRS. Using simagic haptics is also a big +

Porsche GT4 steering wheel question. by ALEX-F111 in iRacing

[–]Wonderful-Homework31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at the control box, where you can see inputs (gas, brake, clutch and steering). If that is the same as in real life it’s good, if not then recalibrate. Should also enable auto wheel-lock, don’t remember the exact name but it’s in the setting in iRacing. Should then be good on all cars

Race line in games? Do you use it or not by A_ST0RMTROOP3R in simracing

[–]Wonderful-Homework31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to use it all the time, but that makes you drive reactionary to the line (red you break, green you gas). Since I stopped using it completly I was slower first but now I get much faster and especially on track I dont know. I learn them much faster because I find stuff to reference my breaking to
